This CD combines the songs from Elvis' last few movies, which had noticably less songs in them than his pervious films (in fact, "Charro!" only had one song in it, played during the opening credits). Nevertheless, and disregarding the films box office performances, there are some good songs here. "Almost" and "Almost in Love" are Elvis trying his hand at being a pop-crooner, and work better than you'd expect. "A Little Less Conversation", in a very different mix than the two versions on this disc, would chart in the Top 10 in much of the world decades later. "Edge of Reality" is the only psychedelic-type song Elvis would ever record, and it ain't half-bad. Even songs as fluffy as "Have a Happy" and "Let's be Friends" are listenable, even if they are far from his best. Admittedly there is some stuff that only the most dedicated Elvis fans will desire (case in point being "Signs Of The Zodiac", which barely features Elvis at all), but considering it's dire reputation, a suprisingly amount of this is not only worth listening but also worth owning.

the last albums from the last presley movies. Some good tracks here but you can tell there is a change in the air. The quality of the recording is very good. Some upbeat lounge music here. I feel that we dont need to hear 'A little less conversation' twice though evenn if one is a few seconds longer. A must for the collector of the king.

The songs featured here are from movies elvis starred in around the late 60's early 70's. They may be unknown to some unless you've seen the movie. That doesn't mean the songs are not good, it just that they had no radio air play when the movie was released. Regardless, the songs featured on this C.D. are still quite good.

wanna know where"a little less conversation"originated, well, its on here.Elvis last 4 movies are represented here.Live a little,Love a Little, soundtrack is the best of the four, but with "Clean up youre own Backyard" a minor hit in its day here in two versions this is great for the enthusiast and even the person who wants to know what all the fuss is about Elvis,well,4 pretty much of his unknown movies, with one hit remixed nearly 40 years later to go to number 1,a minor hit and some lovely treasures to be had here.

Not a collection of Elvis's best songs but still a joy to listen to that marvellous voice. Elvis had the uncanny knack of singing a rubbish song and making it sound good. Buy it just to prove me right.

Considering this final Double Features album contains all the remastered songs from Elvis final four Hollywood films (they're generally considered to have gotten worse as time went on - not entirely true), it's a surprise to find so many gems on it.

True, the typical soundtrack junk is on here: Signs of The Zodiac makes me want to stick pins in my ears it's so awful (like the equally intolerable Yoga Is As Yoga Does from Easy Come Easy Go (1967), it really shouldn't have been included on the soundtrack at all). The Whiffenpoof Song, Violet, and Have A Happy are pretty poor songs too, and I can only imagine how disappointed Elvis was when he had to cut them for the original soundtracks back in '68 and '69.

However, the bulk of the rest of the album is either in the `great' or `good' category. Stand-out tracks are: Almost in Love and Edge of Reality from Live A Little Love A Little (which is a thoroughly original and EXCELLENT film I must add), the undubbed version of Clean Up Your Own Backyard from The Trouble With Girls (And How To Get Into It) and the famous Rubberneckin' from Elvis last Hollywood film Change of Habit.

I reckon even those who don't consider themselves Elvis aficionados would find several tracks on here they'll really like. I originally only bought this CD because I wanted to learn Almost In Love and Edge of Reality on the guitar, but I since consider the album worth a whole lot more than just those two songs.

Possibly the best of the Elvis Double Features albums. Well worth the asking price.
