I downloaded the full-length version and it is a absolute cracker. Derek Trucks is a brilliant musician (not just guitar player) and his band is top-notch as well. It reminds me of Santana in that you have a band of similar format named after the non-singing guitarist, although Trucks is not particularly Santanaesque in his playing. It also has the energy, funk and (err...) tight looseness of EARLY Santana. Lets just hope he doesn't hit middle age and end up doing endless duets with people who are too much in awe of him to actually challenge him musically...

Trucks IMHO has gone way beyond his mentors and influences and while there are a few extended solo muso moments this is certainly not live-album-blues-rock wankery. This is the first time I have bothered writing a review but felt I should spread the word. If you're still reading this review you won't regret getting this album.

This was a great concert, I would have loved to be there. Having only learned about Derek in the last year or so, and having seen him at Sherpherds Bush this year, this is a good representation of what he does live.
Not as good as Songlines or Already Free, but as a live album it is great. If you like Joyful Noise, Songlines and Already Free this album will suit you.

Great production for a live album.
Very mellow sound through out with to much flute used.
Mr Trucks is knowen for his guetar work wich is lost behind the rest of the band.
Dont get me wrong, its great listening, just not what is promised!!

This is a good album but I'm not really into the world music thing and when the band move in that direction it just sounds like mainstream pop (which is fine for everyday folks).
