I purchased this card holder because I had tendonitis in one of my wrists and being a keen bridge player, did not want this to interfere with my enjoyment of the game. I had hoped that I could limit use of the painful wrist by loading the cards into and removing them from the holder with the unaffected hand and wrist. However, I found it very difficult to do this without using both hands. The holder is narrow and tight and the cards tend to stick in it. It is also difficult to arrange the cards evenly with one hand and view them because the holder is not wide enough. In addition, the holder is very light and has fallen over on occasion when I was trying to get a card out; displaying my cards to the opponents.

Chose these so that playing UNO (which requires you to hold up to about 12 cards at a time) was easier for our 6 and 8 year olds. A bit expensive, but really useful, especially since the cardholder can either be held, or stood on the table in front of you (I have seen other versions on children's websites which do not stand up on their own). Recommended.

Not a toy. It is a wonderful aid for anyone with a hand problem, arthritis or whatever. I was struggling to play a game of cards and had pain in my hand for the following 2 days each time I tried. So I searched on Amazon and found a few card holders. I went to the Jesters site and ordered 3 different kinds, as just one lot of p&p would be charged.
This is by far the best of the holders. It stands on its own. It is easy to put the cards in, and to move them and remove them. Also they are held on an angle so that viewing them is comfortable.
Worth every penny. Can't recommend it highly enough.

My sister wanted this for her son to use, and once she got it we realised the potential for all of us! We regularly play Phase 10 which is a fantastic game, and this card holder is just perfect for holding the ten cards. We have all got one now !
I said this was educational, but not really the holder rather the games you play on it - thats what also makes it fun because this isn't on its own !

Not Good at all. Difficult to settle the cards in as they slip around.
To get the right tension for the manufacturers to make them efficient for holding in place they, are "self defeating "
as they would then take too long to insert them.
I play Competitive Bridge several times a week at Bridge Clubs mainly, and the opposing players get irritable as they have to wait while the cards are being inserted and in Competitions all hands are "Time Based" so we all lose precious play minutes waiting for the Cards to be arranged = USELESS !!!!! They make all the opposing Players very bad tempered.
The rigid semi-circular traditional wooden holders are - unfortunately - for me and PIATNIK - much less attractive but do their job efficiently.

I teach bridge, mainly to older people and this is a very useful aid to those with arthritic hands. It can sit easily on the table leaving two hands free to sort the cards and play them.

I ordered 2 of these and will be getting more. If you play card games with young children this is a must, it makes it much more enjoyable for them to join in and keep their cards hidden from other players. Small hands have no difficulty holding it (our children are 7 & 4) or it can stand firmly on the table. It's quite sturdy and good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product. 10/10

I love it! The quality is very good, it's very comfortable to hold and it holds easily up to 15 cards and more! The best thing about it is that it can stand on its own so you can leave it on the table in front if you so your hand won't get tired!

I had not rated this product at 2, above since it is not really a toy. However, the web page will not allow me to send my review unless I do, so please do not attach undue importance to my ratings. I would recommend that the item be removed from the toy category, to allow realistic ratings.
I ordered these playing-card holders for a friend with impaired gripping ability in his fingers. As far as I am aware, it is very useful and suitable for its purpose. It arrived in very quick time, just before the friend departed on a group holiday in Portugal, where he was likely to use the product.

Bought for my son, who has cerebral palsy, he only has use in one hand and is unable to hold playing cards and play at the same time. This card holder gives him the independence to look at his cards and play without help, so I am very pleased with this purchase. The unit seems well enough made, and is fit for purpose. It was well packaged and arrived promptly. Would buy from this seller again
