It really is worth spending a little extra on a good capo. While you will never get as 'ringing' a tone as with regular open strings, a good capo will minimise the muting and actually add rather a nice quality to the tone. It even makes you play slightly different, which is always a nice thing for a creative musician.

Anyway, this IS a very good capo. Not only does it tick the box when it comes to tone, the quality of finish - the casting, the construction, the brass and the polish - is excellent. I am lucky enough to own a couple of very nice Gibsons and Fenders, and this capo doesn't let those Grovers and Klusons down ;-) While not quite as quick to put on and off as the spring-equipped capos, there isn't much in it to be fair. And since this design clasps the neck and depresses the string more firmly, the sound makes the extra second or two worth it! This really is a lovely looking and sounding bit of metal and rubber that looks great on my gold-hardwared Gibson. So nice in fact, I have just ordered a steel one for my silver-hardwared Fender...

This capo deserves its 5 stars. It holds the strings without any vibration or distortion. The guitar stays in tune when you are using it. It is easy to put on, is easily adjustable for use right up the fretboard and has a solid quality feel about it.

I bought this after reading the good reviews about it and realising I had been using the same capo for almost forty years (the material type).

This capo is well worth the investment. Personally I would highly recommend it.

The Shubb capo is just what you need in a capo in works on a wide variety of guitar necks and is very easy to use. I recommend this capo to anyone, works great on my Les Paul. Another plus is that the delivery time was very quick, had it within a few days of ordering.

Unbelievable! I knew I should've checked Amazon before popping in to a local guitar shop. Whilst I don't mind supporting local businesses and feel great loyalty towards an establishment where I got excellent deals on both an Epiphone Les Paul and Vox amp, I could've saved myself a fiver by shopping with Amazon.

This is an excellent product, very easy to use and even my wife heard a massive difference in quality. Hotel California and Fast Car will never sound the same again - now all I need to do is master anything by Newton Faulkener...

Still the best capo for the job and you can use more than one at a time like Mark Knopfler.Your only have to choose Brass,Nickel,Chrome or Black.

Over the years I have used, worn out and broken several capos of various types. Although it can't be operated with one hand like some, the Shubb, for me, is the best. It interferes with intonation less than any other type. This is a solid brass, beautifully made, reliable piece of kit for the serious guitarist.

I've been using these for years - they never wear out but every once in a while I loose one or it gets borrowed and not returned. I just buy a replacement - it works every time and I have tried other makes and designs which don't - and which don't appear to get borrowed either!

Learning to play guitar properly, this time, and found I needed a capo for some songs. Bought this one following reading the reviews and must agree that it works well and can be adjusted for different guitar neck sizes. Great buy and easy to use.
