Good size for a Syrian hamster. More durable than other balls we've had. We've dropped it (without the hamster in it!!) without it breaking. And the lid shuts easily and stays shut. The hamsters feet don't get caught in the holes like some other balls.

This ball was BRILLIANT! My hamster won't come out of it! He usually stays in his bed but as soon as he sees it he comes straight out! He would happily stay in there all day! The glow in the dark feature works well. Definitely worth the money!

This ball is amazing! at first i didnt really believe it ACTUALLY WOULD GLOW IN THE DARK, so took a risk when i brought it. But im so happy i did my hamster also loves this ball she chases the dog round in the dark haha! I would seriously recommed.

I decided to purchase this product, as the exercise ball I'd purchased from Pets at Home was very poor quality - so poor that the doors would open up of their own accord and i'd have a hamster on the loose in my living room (on several occasions).

this ball is much more robust and secure - I wouldn't buy it for the glow in the dark aspect - as it's not that bright, but that wasn't my reason for purchasing anyway - I just wanted a ball that would ensure I didn't lose my little furry friend!

The glow in the dark aspect would have worn off by now anyway with my 7 yr old so it's no big deal. The hamster gets into it voluntarily and when he's had enough goes back to his cage and stops there! Then we let him out. He seems to like going down the step int the kitchen too, he appears to go over te edge deliberately. One word of caution: kids putting the hamster in the ball then forgetting it there when they go to bed. Oops. Fortunately in our house, we discovered the poor thing after not too long. It's a nice big size, quite a lot bigger than we saw in the pet shop. We usually put a treat in the ball (fresh apple or a couple of raisins) to make it more fun.

I consider an exercise ball essential if you own a hamster... they just can't get enough exercise in a cage alone. There's no doubt that our hamster thoroughly enjoys this ball and I think the slightly softer plastic is easier on his feet, so I would recommend this make. However I really wish all ball manufacturers would take a bit more care in the closing of the door as none of them, including this one, are secure enough. On several occasions the door has come open in use. I find putting a small piece of sticky tape across the door keeps it shut but this really should not be necessary.

Our hamster loved running about the floors in her Hamtrac Exercise Ball for hours at a time, as long as she was given some water to drink regularly.
Noit used any more as she has sadly passed away, & we are not sure if we will be getting another one.

At first this was an excellent product but after a couple of weeks my Hamster started to bite the tags on the inside of the door. Then one day we realised it had gone quiet, she had bitten on the tag to the point that one had fallen off and she had escaped. Now that it is broken and is able to escape we now have to place tape over the door so that it doesn't fall off whilst she is running around in it. Brought the product in March 2012 and it lasted until May 2012 :-((

It was delivered quickly and I was pleased to find it after some searching. Not much to say, it does the job and was reasonably priced.

very good size for syrian hamster with securely fitting lid although i think the slots may break with continued use.
