4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected but really good
OK incase you did not know The lead singer for 'the (Internatinal) Noise Conspiracy' are a band with high expecatiotions on them and the main reason for this is that they have the lead singer of a old swedish band called 'Refused' a hardcore Punk band from Sweden. However be warned this band are not refused in fact they are nothing like refused they are not hard punk...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth worring about
Bought on the strength of one song on MTV Europe and now regretted quite honestly.
Okay, it's kind of catchy but sooooo bland. Some of the riffing (and especially the organ playing) is just naff, along the lines of the worst of bad late 70s/early 80s metal.
Don't bother.

OK incase you did not know The lead singer for 'the (Internatinal) Noise Conspiracy' are a band with high expecatiotions on them and the main reason for this is that they have the lead singer of a old swedish band called 'Refused' a hardcore Punk band from Sweden. However be warned this band are not refused in fact they are nothing like refused they are not hard punk revolutionry grit they are instead emo styled, melodic and most supprisinglly really catchy. When I first hear the album I was concerned but what I heard but after listening to the album all the way through I was impressed.
This album is a great album, it is catchy and deals with a great deal of subjects from missing a loved one to dealing with the inequalities of the world. For me the highlights of this album are 'A small Demand', 'the way I feel about you', 'Black Mask' and 'Communist Moon'. This album is not quite as hardcore or diffrent as I had hoped but it is a great to listen to in a relaxed atmosphere.
Another thing worth a mention is that it is produced by the legiondary Rick Reuben who has worked amoung others with rage against the machine. I do love this album but give a track or two a listen before you purchase as it is not going to be to evreyones tastes.

5.0 out of 5 stars finally living up to their potential, 19 April 2005

I've seen a lot of bad reviews of this album and I can't disagree more.
Previous t(I)NC releases have always been promising but lacking in really good songs. Armed Love is probably less adventurous than their other albums, but it's miles better. It's camp (a lot of people will probably hate it for this reason) and totally over the top but it works brilliant.
You can't get songs that are much better than 'Let's Make History', 'Black Mask', 'Communist Moon', and 'Like A Landslide'.
First class feel good commie themed rock n roll.

4.0 out of 5 stars underrated, 27 Sept. 2004

I think the point is being missed by the previous reviewer here. whilst not being quite as good as other noise conspiracy releases, this is a top quality cd. the fact is, they never claimed to be refused, why do you think its a different band?! if you liked refused, you probably wont enjoy this, it is vastly different, but then, that is the point. it is catchy, and the music is excellent. just listen to 'black mask'. maybe a few listens for it to grow, but then, alot of cd's have to 'grow'. i can't knock them. if you liked the other stuff, there is nothing to find bad about this, but i do agree...its probably worth listening a few tracks before risking a buy. but just remember...it isn't refused and they never claimed to be!

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 Stars, 27 Sept. 2004

This is the best album ever in the history of recorded sound. Every song is outstanding, they are without a doubt the greatest punk band in the world, songs like black mask and a small demand are some of the strongest tracks, but the whole album is brilliant, ignore the other reviewer (Mr 2 Star) who says it has "twee" production, they have to understand that sometimes people feel like doing different things. buy it now. You wont regret
