I chose this model in particular for the very fact that the foot plate does not lock into position, having a spinal problem which often gives me numb feet and the rocking footplate helps me change position very easily.

I can find no fault with this product at all the only thing I could have wished the manufactures could have done was to put a ribbed mat onto the footplate instead of the smooth one they do with this model.

I bought this for my other half as he works from home, he spends most of his day at his desk and has terrible posture. When I read the other reviews, they were a bit hit and miss on if it was any good. But I thought it was worth a try. He got it out the box, set it up, put his feet on it and the height adjuster slid straight back down to the bottom. He pulled it back up and tried again and t went straight back down. The angle of the foot plate also slides around while in use. It was out of the box for less than five minutes before we decided it was just useless for us. I have given it 2 stars because it is quite sturdy, and if you didn't need to raise it and you wanted to easily move your foot plate around then, it's a pretty good product. We returned it and got the next model up with locking height and plate on it. Which is much better and well worth the few extra pounds.

This is an amazing footrest. Very easy to adjust and just the right height and width. Quite durable as well. Highly recommended!

I had to return this item because it was not too well built, plasticky looking, and it did not stay in place when you adjusted the height. Admittedly this model does not have the option to stay fixed at certain height, only the more expensive model does that, but you can actually move it up and down although it won't stay fixed which is a strange design idea.

Also, it's too large to put under a small table with an office chair that has wheels, because the large platform will be on the way and you have to have it too far away, with your legs straight in front. This defeats the purpose of having it under your feet. The wheels keep hitting it and you cannot get it close to you. Very annoying.

I guess it may be ok if you intend to use with a wider chair that has no wheels.

I have my feet on this as I type and am very happy with it. I was annoyed when it came as the instruction booklet was for the next model up and there was nothing to tell you how to alter this. That is why it only has 4 stars. I asked on Amazon and lots of helpful people answered straight away. I was very impressed with that!!
It seems you just put your feet on it, while sat down, and can rock backwards and forwards very easily. But initially I was afraid in case I snapped something.
I find the height fine but I am fairly tall so shorter people might like the height adjustable model. I like that you can rock it back and for as when you are sat for a long time, it is good to move about.

Superb, when I left my office job this was probably the only item I missed !
Delighted to find the same model to use now at home
I like the fact it's large, so your not searching for it under the table with your feet and that the plate is not full of bumps or grooves - Since I wear shoes or slippers I find those uncomfortable
Delivered more or less as soon as I ordered it, in short delighted with my purchase
Will be well used for years to come
Ps. This is not the height adjustable version but I just needed something to stop my feet dangling an inch or two off the floor or resting on the chair legs which was giving me back ache so this is perfect

Product claims to be height and angle adjustable but the height adjustment sinks straight back down when you put ANY pressure on it so I'm stuck with it at the lowest level!

Very useful product indeed. Gets the feet off the floor; or more often than not off the bottom of the chair as the legs get cramped and your circulation stops!
My only dislike it that it is a bit big and clunky; It only just wedges in under my corner desk.

The footrest has a variable angle, so will adjust to suit your position to a degree, but exactly what's needed.

Being not so long in the leg (of average height) you can suffer from poor circulation and even get thrombosis from it, so investing in one of these is well worth it.
