4.0 out of 5 stars Nikos
The acting is atrocious, the cinematography is awful and the first 30 minutes are just plain dull. How then do I find this film so satisfying? The premise is great, a bloodthirsty barbarian set loose in New York, and it really delivers on the gore front. Nikos is quite enjoyable, and everything you'd expect from a low budget slasher; but therin lies the problem. Whereas Shnaas showed great ingeniuity in the storyline of Demonium, this really doesn't offer anything that hasn't been done a million times before; but then again, if you love the genre that much, that isn't really a bad thing.

While I for one can't get enough of these low budget gore-fests, this one was certainly not one of the best and there's nothing that will appeal to the mainstream film viewer here. I do like the cameo from Troma's Lloyd Kaufman though!
