4.0 out of 5 stars Gobble and Go Hippo
Our 10 and a half month old daughter loves walking around using the Hippo but she needs to be supported as it moves rather fast on a hard surface and, for someone learning to walk, it is a little too fast. It is much better on carpet or grass. She enjoys seeing the blocks appear in the base of the hippo as it gobbles them up. The five blocks are very colourful and...

2.0 out of 5 stars not practical at all.
i don't like this product as a walker at all! first off the handle is very difficult to hold it is positioned awkwardly and theres not much gap for hands to fit comfortably. it did very little to help my son to walk and we had to buy a different style for that. As a ride on its fun for a while and the gobbling the blocks up is fun but there are much better one out there...

The five blocks are very colourful and contain plastic food items such as broccoli, cheerios and carrots that can be shaken around inside the blocks. There are also lots of colourful textures to touch and little shapes that can be manipulated. The walker can be used to sit on too but at the moment she leans over too far and slides off. I am sure that once she is a little older and has mastered it she'll love it.

Points to watch out for
1. When you press the red button to put the seat up and down make sure that you support the lid with your other hand. My daughter put her weight on the lid and it went down on my finger- ouch!
2. The picture in the assembly sheet shows the handle at a more obtuse angle than it really is. It is more or less at right angles to the floor which I think makes it more awkward to push.

On the whole though a sturdy and durable toy that I would recommend if your child is ready for walking.
