4.0 out of 5 stars Blood Sucks In A Lake, 2 May 2011
Mr. R. Domar (Wolves) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leeches [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Plot. Members of a swim team take steroids. They goof around in the local swamp lake where mild, non lethal leeches live. These leeches often attach themselves to the swimmers and "eat" a bit. The swim teams blood is tasty thanks to the steroids and very soon the leeches are growing into a big fat carnivorous menace.
This is nothing different than any other animals attacking humans film. It's simple entertainment that should not be taken seriously and not a lot of thought is needed. All you gotta do is sit back and relax, pop a tinnie, and laugh at the bad dialogue, silly situations, lack of decent effects and daft plot. Because all this is right here. I liked it and thought it wasn't that cheesy. This is real low budget B movie fare and its better than the 1959 Ataack Of The Giant Leeches.
Extras include a com, stills and trailer. USA Release but plays Region zero.
