5.0 out of 5 stars Works as it should
Does what it says really, cleans mud from the skins of mushrooms.

As for a previous reviewer complaining it doesn't take the skins off, that's exactly how it's designed. It's meant to get the dirt off the mushroom without damaging the skin. If it's pushing the dirt into the skin then it would seem it's being used with too much force.

Pants. Pure Pants. Not only does it not take the skin off, it also doesn't take the dirt off. All it does seem to do is mush the dirt INTO the mushroom.

Use hands in water. Easier and cheaper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple and effective, 23 Aug 2012

My main concern about buying this was that the bristles would soon fall out of the wood, they haven't. The stiffness of the bristles is just right to clean the mushrooms without damaging them.

Easy to grip a couple of swipes and your good to go, takes up hardly any real estate in your drawers so - go for it!

Why not 5 stars? it's a little smaller than I had hoped however this doesn't affect the performance.

I'd desired a mushroom brush since a neighbour just happened to show me her own. Now I've got one and it's truly one of those objects you never thought you'd need until you'd heard of it. The bristles are soft but just stiff enough to do the job. The knob is adequately sized for the purpose. I love it.

This is a small but perfect vegetable brush. It fits nicely in the palm of your hand and gets the mud off the carrots and potatoes beautifully. It's just what i was looking for and i can happily recommend to all.

the mushroom brush is great! The wooden part should have been polished/varnished in order to have a higher quality product.

Excellent little brush that works just don't brush too hard and it will easily get off bits of loam, soil, etc off your mushrooms which is a better method than wiping them with kitchen paper. Bristles are firm nylon and not loose and the wooden top seems durable enough and I hand wash it after use. a handy little good quality brush. Good seller, quick delivery and packaging was good.

It's a mushroom brush - it does what you'd expect, so there's not much more to say. Can't fault it.

To be honest mushrooms don't last long enough in my kitchen to actually use this. I tend to peel the skins off the mushrooms by hand. Just find this aesthetically pleasing as part of my kitchen gadget collection.
