I've been waiting for this to come out on CD for years. Having been a fanin the 70's but somehow missing out on this when it first came out, I wasvery pleased to see it reissued.
I saw the Streetwalkers live around the time this must have been recorded;and in Chapman's home town too. They were an absolutley superb live band, and with very little other live stuff available, I have to give it 5 stars(although the Radio Trent broadcast of their Lincoln gig surpasses it forenergy).
If you remember them, buy it!

Streetwalkers were Roger Chapman - harmonica, percussion and vocals
Charlie Whitney - guitar, keyboards, slide guitar - new band after the end of Family (an hard act to follow indeed) other musicians included Bobby Tench - guitar, vocals, percussion, Brian Johnstone - keyboards, Mickie Feat - bass and background vocals, Dave Dowie - percussion and drums this is the line-up that played on this their last album, originally released as a double 'Live' LP in 1977.
The Setlist:
1 Chilli con Carne 5:42
2 Crazy Charade 6:30
3 Walking on Waters 7:11
4 Toenail Draggin' 4:37
5 Mama Was Mad 5:40
6 Me an' Me Horse an' Me Rum 7:34
7 Dice Man 11:58
8 My Friend the Sun 4:50
9 Run for Cover 8:46
10 Burlesque 5:30
11 Can't Come In 6:43
Tracks drawn from the previous studio albums and a couple (Burleque & My Friend the Sun) from their 'Family' days. This live album is not a smooth studio overdubbed greatest hits, it is a rough, raucous, spittoon, sawdust on the floor reflection of what a Streetwalkers concert sounded like in 1977. Forget modern live albums that could have been (and trust me some have) produced in the studio this is a 'warts' 'n' 'all' live album, this is rock & roll of the 70's. Do NOT approach it if you don't love real live recordings but in my opinion it's a 5 star reflection of what live rock should be.
As the Hobgoblin beer advert says "What's the matter lager boy frightened of a bit of taste".

5.0 out of 5 stars Mid 70's double live album- bluesy, funky and original, 17 Feb. 2013

Great live album with longer and better versions of studio cuts, plus 2 old Family favourites (My Friend the Sun and Burlesque). This album has a great live atmosphere, a funky rhythm section, Roger Chapman's distinctive and powerful vocal performance and songs about the seedier aspects of life...what more could you want?
