I was initially concerned about the ghosting problem mentioned in other Belkin monitor cable reviews. I wrote to Belkin twice asking for confirmation that this cable was the highest spec of those advertised on Amazon but received no reply to either email. So much for Belkin support. Knowing the excellent Amazon returns policy, I bought one anyway with the intention of returning it if I got ghosting or other image problems.
On arrival, I noticed that the cable was large diameter and heavy and appeared well made with gold connectors. I used it to connect a Dell laptop running at 1280 x 1024 resolution to a Panasonic 37" LZD85 LCD TV with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The image displayed was perfect with no trace of ghosting.
Similar high spec, double-shielded 5m monitor cables from Maplin, Misco etc. are £35 - £40. At less than £10, this cable is a bargain!

This Belkin Pro Monitor cable is very nice, it has a thick robust cable and is gold plated at the connection points. The cable displays a very good picture without ghosting on my monitor. I would recommend this cable for quality and price.

I bought this cable to connect an Acer laptop to a Sony Bravia TV.
Connection was simple and instant. The cable is well shielded and has provided a consistently reliable transfer of quality images.

excellent quality for price, buying this in currys is about 5 times as expensive for on with 1/4 the length of cable this one comes with. there is no choice to be made, this is your best option when it comes to vga cables in my opinion.

This cable is everything I needed - it is well shielded, 5m long and connects my computer to a LCD Full HD TV without losing any quality! Great product!

The cable seems sturdy. It didn't however work straight-off.

That is, the resolution was all messed up when the cable was connected at 1400x900 and no other default resolution/refresh rate combination worked. I didn't have any such problem with my previous cable.

YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FIX THIS:

Set a custom resolution using your video card driver settings. In my case and for my monitor, I set it to 1440x900 at 60Hz which seemed to do the trick.

Make sure you can do this before you buy this cable.

Cable performs very well for a long vga. Pictures and colours are clear and true. If it is allowed to bend back and coil upon itself some ghosting does occur, but this isn't a critique of the product, more a tip out there for anyone who buys this and doesnt know that electromagnetic induction will cause signals to distort in coiled cables. So if you buy this make sure you need the length, or have a large space to double it back in, because if it is bunched up the picture quality will suffer! I guess more shielding would help this but hey it was £9! Great cable for the price and picture crystal clear if installed correctly!

I bought this cable as I had reorganised my desk and needed a longer cable. I was drawn in by the Belkin name, expecting good quality.

The cable is thick and sturdy - but unfortunately it produced the effect on my laptop of removing the resolution (1440 x 900) that I usually use on my laptops external monitor. I have had to use the old 2m one to get the appropriate resolution back. So it is sitting uselessly in a cupboard now.

Good solid cable. Does the job well if you're looking for something to enable you to be able to play DVD's from your computer on your TV.
