Skinny Tiger Fatty Dragon Is one of those Top late 80's early 90's hong kong action films with not only plenty of fight scenes BUT with "Sammo Hung Kung Fu FIGHT SCENES" :0)
Sammo is nothing short but brilliant in this film. Showing off his Funny-side, Adorable Cuddly-side, and his Love of Bruce Lee Kung Fu side!!

Sammo plays the typical good guy Cop with a partner who offers the film comic genuis Karl Maka. who despite are both the good guys in this movie, they are both aware that even the good guys have to break the law sometimes ;0)

The story is pretty standard, but with a few good twists and once again Sammo shows here that he is capable of making other actors look believable in martial arts even if they've never had any training in their lives!
Once again sammo also shows that even at this stage in his life and for his size, he is still capable of doing all of of his own amazing stunts and without wires!

Skinny Tiger, Fatty Dragon is full of Comedy, fun Bro-mance and very satisfying Kick Ass FIGHT/ACTION Scenes!

If you love films like Police Story, In The Line Of Duty, My lucky Stars, Flash Point etc then this film fits right in there and in that genre.

A must BUY for any Sammo Hung lover! X

4/5 for the movie itself! Well worth the watch.

However, the version pictured is the special edition, the version I received is the rubbish HKL release with zero special features.
Keep that in mind when buying.

Bey Logan, the prolific commentary fellow who appears on many of these Hong Kong Legends efforts, rates this as one of his favourites.

Fair do's, but I can't see what all the fuss is about. I like Sammo Hung and many of his films, but this was a big drag. It seemed to go for ever and get nowhere fast. Lots of scraps, true, but laboured "acquired taste" comedy, an annoying, irritating side kick in Skinny Tiger.

Perhaps it's for the best that Sammo will be sticking to producing from now on.
