I am a lifelong Stones fan but I felt a little flat after buying this.

Disk one is pure documentary; a supposed `fly on the wall` and for what it is it is quite interesting, you so rarely ever see any of the Stones in interview. However, there is a feeling that it was simply designed to make them look good.

The other disks are concert footage and, unlike Steel Wheels & Urban Jungle, the band do not seem tight. The sound is slightly airy and lose. I have always thought of Jagger as the world`s most exciting white man on stage but here he seems to be tired and just going through the motions. Similarly Keith lacks conviction and he and Ronny just seem to be trading some tired old licks. Recent tours have included fantastic stage shows; not this one, really drab and dull.

Much of the concert footage was taken up with some new, not very good and quite forgettable numbers. Why do they never perform;Little Red Rooster, It`s all over now,We love you or some other of their mega hits. Could the answer be that they don`t own the copyright and would not get as much in royalties. If that is where they are now at; counting the pennies and squeezing the last drops out of a dry act, I am saddened.

I would have liked to remember The Stones as a band to be reckoned with not a fading cabaret act. Get the Imax video; that was superb, this is just a curtain call.

Eagerly anticipated. Great packaging, film quality and sound UP TO A POINT!
All four discs had certain points where they froze for a moment or two. This happened every couple of songs. "Freezing" is annoying enough during a film. During a concert DVD it's totally unacceptable.
Checked the discs on three players and returned them. Bought new set from a High Street Mega Store. Guess what? Same problem at exactly the same points as on the previous disc.
Has anybody else had these problems?

If you like to hear the same riff repeated over and over ad nauseum then get this four flicks movie. Each song seems to have a 3 or 4 chord progression with its 'guitar riff', which is repeated until the cows come home. Soon becomes tedious and transparent.

SCORE THIS DVD A ZERO. I am a Stones fan, but am totally disgusted with this lousy product. I can't believe that they did a project like this and wasted it recording in fullscreen. Only disc 3 is widescreen. The performances are far less interesting than the Bridges of Babylon disk. I assumed that this would be in widsecreen and would be a great add to my colletion. There are no indications on the box, or even inside, about the display format. Altho I never watch the useless "bonus" materials with DVDs, I did watch for about 2 minutes, which was enough to see that this disk is no different. You can simply skip disc 1. After watchiung the other disks briefly, I was so let down that I simply threw them in the trash. DON'T BUY THIS ONE !!
