5.0 out of 5 stars A double CD for all occasions, 1 Sept. 2004
This review is from: DMC Presents: Krafty Kuts: These Are The Breaks (Audio CD)
How can one DJ be so diverse in what he does, yet still have a distinct and individual sound? Ask Krafty Kuts.
The first, more funky and heavily Hip Hop laden, CD, is a stroke of genius, working its way from the funky intro, into the heavy bass beats of Busta Rhymes, through to chilled Hip Hop and even motown by its end. All while maintaining an obvious Krafty feel, and funk soul that sends shivers down your spine.
The second CD is more suitable for a club-type arrangement, and is heavily influenced by the stylings of The Stanton Warriors, a double act who certainly know how to work crowds. The deep driving bass and bouncing beats are at the heart of the entire CD, and appearances from The Freestylers, FreQ Nasty and Dead Prez keep the mix ticking along nicely.
If ever a double CD was suitable for both lounging around with one's homies, and getting your bangs on on the dancefloor, then this is it. Look no further, we have a new leader - ALL HAIL KING KRAFTY.

5.0 out of 5 stars These ARE the breaks....., 14 Nov. 2003
This review is from: DMC Presents: Krafty Kuts: These Are The Breaks (Audio CD)
This double cd is sweet. I don't usually go for this sort of thing, I'm more of Masters at Work kind of lad but I heard some sound samples and it seemed a good investemnt. This Krafty Kuts cd just god damn funky. The first cd (Hip Hop and Funky Beats) is class funky hip hop (how did you guess!) stylee mix which just makes you wanna move. It's got a really uplifting, fresh feeling about it and is simply mint. Cd2 presents us with a veritable feast of breaks and beats, which is basically aload of very fast, very funky tunes. Loads of funk, loads of vocals, loads of class. Why don't we hear more of this stuff, I'll be keeping a close eye of any future releases from Krafty Kuts. This connotes phunkiness

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Album, 9 Feb. 2008
This review is from: DMC Presents: Krafty Kuts: These Are The Breaks (Audio CD)
Have to agree with all that is said above. A truly great album.
From start to finish, both CDs are full of fast and funky tunes. You'll find yourself turning up the stereo with each new track that emerges.

An excellent purchase.
