You have to feel sorry for ol' Felix - one of the most well known purveyors of the electro-disco sound (I hesitate to use electro-clash with memories of that old Fischerspooner album still sitting on my shelf!) he has never really got the recognition among the general public that his work deserves. He creates a sound that simultaneously straddles the joyous and faintly sinister, like a sadomasochistic Johnny 5 in a Disneyland parade! This CD shows off some excellent mixing but more importantly, as noted in previous reviews, great song selections. The Droyds' Remix of Ladytron's Seventeen is definitely my highlight, followed closely by the infectious From Disco To Disco by Whirlpool Productions. If they don't make you want to shake your mechanical ass then get your circuits checked!

Firstly, I know that Felix isn't the most technical of mixers, but what he lacks in technique, he certainly makes up for it in his song selection and that award winning smile of his. The first cd is mixed, ranging from new york house, through to some angry Berlin sounds then back round to Chicago. Felix has the balance right, beginning softly and then getting a bit spikey, going into bouncy and ending just right. The second cd is all the music that has inspired him and if you have heard him play before, you will have heard alot of these tracks. The second cd helps you to understand Felix and definately puts a smile on your face.
Definately worth a listen, I doubt many people would be disappointed by what Felix had produced.

For those of you who bought the first BUGGGED OUT mixed cd by Justin Robertson & Felix Da Housecat then Felix's mix is a little more open minded then the first one.
CD1 is a collection of some of the best Filthy House & Electro grooves which go so well together the mixing is nice and tight too. my fav tracks are Ladytron Sventeen & Phil Taylor Space Disco.
CD2 has a few oldish eclecto tracks from the 80's which if you've never herd them before like me you're infor a true treat as they are suprisingly good after all those years. It has mondern ho felix style house too.
in one one this cd is ESSENTIAL
