5.0 out of 5 stars For big kids too
Looking for a game to liven up your party - well you have come to the right place. Get round the board by drawing whatever is on the card. And no you don't have to be an artist - indeed the worse you are at drawing the funnier the game!

Beware - don't play in a team against your partner if you are in an argumentative mood!!

Great fun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pictionary Review
I had Pictionary 20+ years ago and it has downsized since then with small drawing pads and more rules. It's an expensive game and I have been a little disappointed in it, I have to say. However, for kids, it is good for them to learn new words and think laterally and it doesn't take hours to play. Also, be warned - if you have people in your team who want to draw and...

This is a great game. It's like charades, but with paper and pen. You don't have to be great at drawing, just on the same wavelength as the member/s of your team. Fun for all ages

This is great fun to play. The extra dice decides whether you draw with the opposite hand or eyes shut or in one continuos line which was alot of fun. However as i'm not so good at guessing it caused alot of anger for my boyfriend and we decided to scrap the extra dice.
It is alot better than the new pictionary mania where you have to draw on those boards because those pictures just come up as big clumps.
I didn't know what some of the words on the cards meant so this would make it quite difficult if playing with young children.

This game gets the brain cells working in a fun way.

You do not have to be arty. In fact the worse you are at drawing the more fun it is.

You play in teams of two, alternately drawing and guessing.

Don't be put off - buy this game.

Does not use (or need) anything electrical!

This game is great fun for any kind of group, from a family, 2 couples having a night in or a bigger bunch of friends having a party. When your team isn't doing too well it can be quite dull as the other team continually has turns and you just have to sit, hoping that they lose one or that an all-play comes up, but otherwise it's terrific and requires very little stuff/effort - just drawing on a small pad. The game is quite good for kids, because they have to read the question cards and they have to think outside the box to get the object/person or something as difficult to grasp as an idea/concept down on the paper, as well as having to be able to draw well enough for it to be recognisable! Fun all round.

However, for kids, it is good for them to learn new words and think laterally and it doesn't take hours to play. Also, be warned - if you have people in your team who want to draw and don't get a turn often enough, they can disrupt the proceedings and sabotage the game (and I'm talking adults here, not kids!).

4.0 out of 5 stars Picture conveys a thousand words, 18 April 2007
This review is from: Pictionary (Toy)
Game with great educational value. You don't need to have an MA in Fine Arts from Oxford to excel in this game. All you need is some creativity, and reorientation of your brain cells from the word to image form.A picture conveys a thousand words;Pictionary has more than one thousands ways to convey the same word; Enough said; ditto !
