4.0 out of 5 stars Still not Goldeneye but getting there slowly, 1 Aug 2003
This review is from: 007 Nightfire (Video Game)
James bond 007 Nightfire is a vast improvement on the previous Agent under fire which was not a patch on the daddy of all bond games: Goldeneye. This latest james bond adventure see's EA take advantage of the power of the Xbox by producing fantastic graphics, using Pierce Brosnon as James Bond. The gameplay is fast but the controls and aiming are still in the past.
The game itself has a better storyline than agent under fire and a better range of missions which include a fair share of driving, 'on-rails', plenty of gadgets, snipering and stealth.
The main selling point for me was (other than it being one of the best games on the classics range) that the makers have finally produced a decent muti-player feature which follows in the footsteps of goldeneye on the N64 making previous Bond film characters as skins for players.

The game though can be completed with ease even on the 00 setting and can be completed in a few hours, this does take the enjoyment out of a well presented game. I think the game is a decent investment as it on budget range but the game isnt a patch on other Xbox titles such as Halo.
At least there is promised improvements for 007 Everything or Nothing.
