5.0 out of 5 stars A great little machine for those new to the game.
I was first given this as a present many years ago when I realised that the rest of my family were simply no challenge whatsoever. It is really only suitable for a beginner or someone looking for a simple challenge. I am in hospital a lot usually full of strong drugs and I find this to be an excellent companion when I have a slightly befuddled mind. It is the easiest...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the old Kasparov version
The old version of this (kasporov pocket plus) might have been slower and had perhaps had A more brute force chess ai but gone are the coordinate lights on the side to quickly and easily indicate the intended moves. Now replaced with a tiny 4 char LCD display so you have to read the coordinates then squint to find them on the board. That on top of other cryptic messages...

It is the easiest chess computer to use I have ever come across. The instructions are clear and lucid. there are only a few buttons and even a small child could learn to use this unaided in just a few minutes. You also get a very decent set of instructions that explain how to play the game of chess and how to understand the scoring system. The computer has 64 levels plus some excellent teaching modes. For the price this really is the perfect place to start. No point spending any more until you know you want to go further into possibly the deepest game in the world.

That on top of other cryptic messages and the piece storage place ow requires the removal of the battery cover. Common seitek this is the worst ever update of a product ever. So disappointed.
