This album puts its best foot forward in the first four songs from the thrilling opener to the acoustic lament of "This is War". Thereafter, the remaining tracks descend into a somewhat repetitive groove well worn by other bands such as Staind and Lifehouse. Matters are not helped by the rather adolescent lyrics and earnest vocal delievery. That said the production is crystal clear and the band play with real commitment. You will have heard all this music before elsewhere but the first four tracks make this CD a worthwhile purchase.

Since I got my hands on this album - which by the way wasn't easy - I really haven't listend to much else. It's a fantastic album and I can't wait for the follow up "Anxiety" due September. Only downside to the album is that it "Only" packs 14 tracks - cuz' once you get started you don't want it to stop. Somehow this band has been almost totally overlooked in Europe which is such a shame cuz' these guys rock! Deep and meaninful lyrics accompanied by raw grungy guitar riffs - this album is a diamond in the rough.

If i could give a higher rating than 5 stars for this, i would.
One of the best bands i've heard for a long time now.
Most of the songs on this album are chilled and very easy
going and excellent the relax to, the lyrics amaze me and i can
relate to every song with a different attitude and each song
makes sense to me, the lyrics were written superbly.
I love this band for the guitar and vocal solos they do in
most of their songs, excellent guitar playing with an excellent,
strong and powerful voice from Sean Danielson.
This up and coming band from California are going all the way,
and this album is a must for chilled rock fans and anyone who
likes strong vocals and guitar strumming at its best.

This album is great! in every sense of the word. This album has had me moshin' all around my room and crying in the corner of it! my favourite songs i want my life and with this knife always seem to bring tears! but its not all acoustic fun! Songs like bottom of a bottle and all my problems will have u pumped up and singing as loud as you can. Its a great album! i reccomend it to anyone and everyone! and if u like these its a pretty safe bet that you'd like three days grace, trapt and probably creed as well!

This is a truely amazing piece of art. i listen to a lot of music and on the strength of three of their songs, i decided to import this CD. i am soooo glad that i did!! So maybe they aren't breaking any ground with 'new' music, but every track is completely original and fantastic in its own right.
Some of my favourite songs:
This is war- i didnt like this at first but now i love it. Seans voice is great and this is a moving song.
Therapy- this song rocks!!
With This knife- another moving song with great vocals and i love the little riff that runs through the song.
All my Problems- a rocking track that i love. The lyrics are really cool.
Eraser- this song makes me feel better and is a magnificent way to end the album.
All the lyrics seem well thought out and as i said, seans voice is really really good- not just at shouting but also at singing. An excellent debut and i look forward to hearing more. i really hope they break the UK as well as America!!
