Great when it came out, but it hasn't aged well.

Played this as a kid, or around 16, and thought it was different, relaxing and enjoyable. There's no other game like it and there was a sense of longevity that was rare with most other games.
I picked this up again recently to rekindle some fond memories of the game and teh truth is, it hasn't aged particularly well. The graphics are obviously dated (thats a given) but the world seems small, uninteractive and basically a bit underwhelming.
The problem is that open-ended games have become much more interactive and expensive now and essentially, this just isn't as good. I'd really like to see a modern version of Harvest Moon, but i'd recommend leaving this in the past (I wish I did).
