This is Tania Marias 1984 Brazilian style Jazz cross over album Come with me here accompanied by her sextext which includes Eddie Duran and Jose Neto.It was a midly succesful album at the time and got her some overdue recognition, the title track received a fair amount of airtime on UK daytime radio which was a rarity at the time.Ms.Maria is a good vocalist and an excellent piano player and this set of 7 originals and and one standard tune makes for a most pleasing album. The stand out track is Come With Me, which is a very catchy piece with Maria's breezy Jazzy vocal over a very catchy riff, other strong pieces are Nega and the opening track Sangria.
If you are a fan or are interested in this kind of Brazilian style Jazz it would be worth your while to check out Tania Maria along with such contemporaries as Eliane Elias and Flora Purim. Give it a try!
Tracks are as follows:-
1 Sangria
2.Embraceable You
3.Lost in Amazonia
4.Come with Me
5.Sementes, Graines and Seeds
8.It's All Over Now
