Sing for the moment is the third release from Eminem's latest album 'The Eminem Show' and is probably one of his best tracks to date.
The chorus uses an Aerosmith sample which is a first for Eminem because unlike many rappers today, he usurally doesn't use samples. It works well with the track.
Eminem raps about the problems with kids today and how he has been blamed by many of the parents.
He also explains his court trials and how he was still signing CD's whilst being in trouble:
''So im signing Cd's while police finger printing me, its for the judges daughter, but his grude is against me''
He also explains how he's been labeld as a criminal when all he really is tryhing to be is a father to his daughter:
''It's all political and if im a criminal, how the f*** did i raise a little girl, I couldn't, I wouldn't be fit to''
There is also an instumental version on this single as well as a bonus track ''Rabbit Run'' which can only be found on the 8 mile soundtrack. In this song Eminem takes on the role of Jimmy Smith Junior from the film.
The sing for the moment video is also included.
This song doesn't really have the poppy edge to make number 1 but it is an excellent song with a very deep meaning.
I reccomend this track to all Eminem fans for their collections and to anyone else, because this song really is excellent.

Aerosmith and Eminem? It shouldn't really work but it does and suprisingly well. Eminem spits out rap lyrics that contrast sharply with the sweet melodies of the chorus but the combination is a winning one.
Whilst it doesn't quite match up to the Walk this way Run DMC collaboration, it's still worth having whether you're a rap fan, a rock fan or just a music fan plain and simple.

As a huge Aerosmith fan I totally respect this song. Aerosmith and Run DMC made history with their rock/rap cross over of Aerosmith's 'Walk This way' during the 1980's. So the rock rap cross over carries on, but on a more serious note.
'Dream on' goes so well with Eminem's Sing for the moment, the lyrics go together.
You should buy this if you are an Eminem or an Aerosmith fan!
