5.0 out of 5 stars Thrashtastic! (Ahem), 15 Feb 2003
I Received this through the post today, and it is utterly superb! I always slightly preferred the first Haunted album to the second, whilst the second had the beefier production. One Kill Wonder mixes the best of both of their previous albums to create an album that combines the speed and thrashiness of the first, with the state-of-the-art production of the second. I have no doubt that this will become one of my most listened to CD's in the coming weeks. In an age where there's so much commercial crap out there mascarading as rock/metal/whatever, it's so good to hear a modern band embracing metal, but in a thoroughly modern up to date way. This is an excellent album by an excellent band and everyone should own it. Really.

ah the haunted, one of swedens finest thrash metal bands, thats what they are folks, granted part of the band were part of at the gates and deserve praise for the gothenberg sound but this isnt what the haunted do,they are simply thrash metal and this is their most intense and angry album, its true that slayer fans will gobble this up but the haunted deserve their own plaudits, after this album the original singer returned and order was restored but this is heavy so dont be afraid

4.0 out of 5 stars Thrash is back in a big way!, 7 April 2003

Little can be said to glorify The Haunted. They already co-own the thrash metal circuit with institutions like Slayer. This album out ranks their previous recordings so severely it almost makes them obsolete. The album is fast paced technicality at its finest. The musical execution is delivered with such surgical accuracy that by comparison a laser is a highly misguided instrument.
Tracks such as D.O.A and Demon Eyes make you rekindle your love for Metal as if you were listening to it in awe for the first time!
With unparallel ferocity The Haunted deliver their finest performance and creation to date. Not buying this album would make you a POP fan by nature. If you enjoy bands such as Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Nile and Pantera you CANNOT afford to miss this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars large and loud, 19 May 2003
This review is from: One Kill Wonder (Audio CD)
this album is good but in my opinion its not as good as either of the previous efforts, some decent tracks are on this album but some you think could be so much better than they are, maybe its because of the high standard they have set themselves on the two previous albums? who knows. its good and well worth a listen but if you have the money buy "they made me do it" instead.
