This is a 'live' session recorded in London at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Club (the old place in Gerrad Street!). Far superior in ambiance to her 'Live At Ronnie Scott's" CD, this is packed with intimate details, and pure bliss to listen to. If you really want the essence of Blossom's performance at the paeak of her cabaret act, this is THE one CD you should buy to get acquainted with her very special style, or, if you are an existing fan, you should find, like me, that's it's always on in the background or in the car! London label Harkit have done a smashing job! Well done for bringing this to our attention.

If you do not know Blossom Dearie you are in for a treat. The most sophisticated, little girl voice, perfect diction, wonderful phrasing, and a real jazz talent. She is both a pianist and sings to accompany herself, although backed by drums and base. Take yourself back to the good old days of the mid sixties when the club atmosphere of Ronnie Scott's place, in Frith Street, London, was the plce to spend hours listening to the greats, and this lass was one of the greats. This CD contained one track I had been searching for, namely, Sweet Georgie Fame, a cracker, but there is so much more. Get this and Disk 2, and pour yourself a glass of wine, then have a relaxing evening to remember.
