5.0 out of 5 stars Understandably excellent
Lots of conflicting comments in these customer reviews. I would recommend any prospective buyers to visit the Microsoft website first to get the official specification, rather than conjecture;
Some points for correction.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard. Okay mouse. Naff dongle.
I bought this package expecting it to open the world of Bluetooth for me and it did. Sort of.
The keyboard is fantastic. Lovely looking, great feel to use and loads of surprisingly useful keys dotted around the top for normal shortcuts. The bluetooth novelty is fun - you can type from across the other side of the room easily, although that's not entirely practical...

4.0 out of 5 stars Typically Microsoft, 8 July 2003

This review is from: Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth (Electronics)
This is a good product that works well as a long range mouse and keyboard. I have the computer in another room and use it to type emails that I view on my TV. The distance of about 5 metres through a wall is no problem. However it comes with a manual that is pathetic and there is no additional info on the CD. The website where supposedly additional info is available was also useless. I wonder how microsoft can get away with it's policy of selling expensive products without proper manuals.
The box claims that the USB Bleutooth device can also connect to other Bleutooth devices. However nowhere does it tell you how to do this. It refused to communicate with my Nokia 7650 phone as well as my Bleutooth headset.
The dongle for connecting it to the USB port of a laptop is not practical and I don't think anyone will use it.
