4.0 out of 5 stars Think Roots Manuva with an extra dash of ska...
I bought this album on the basis of hearing track six, "Fading" on a local hip hop radio show. While not all of the content is as memorable as this track (except perhaps track 11 - "no pets allowes") this is certainly a solid UK hip hop album that delivers some intelligent rhymes, with no excessive 'gangsta' or 'hard luck' references...Indeed this is...

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't really listen to this
I only like one song on this album and it's not like I love that song. Thought coming from RP the album would be smoother but seems a bit shouty in places.

I bought this album on the basis of hearing track six, "Fading" on a local hip hop radio show. While not all of the content is as memorable as this track (except perhaps track 11 - "no pets allowes") this is certainly a solid UK hip hop album that delivers some intelligent rhymes, with no excessive 'gangsta' or 'hard luck' references...Indeed this is more the type of realist moderate hip hop I have come to expect from the Uk. Rodney P has worked with Roots Manuva in the past and this album has a strong feel of Roots Manuva about it. Having said that, there is a definite Jamaican dancehall influence as well and some pretty good samples from that type of sound....all in all definitely worth the purchase price.
