I can't add much to the Amazon review except to say that this album really shows off the variety of Maria's talent. And yes the musicians sound very 'tight' in the best sense here-- flowing into each other & taking interesting chances. There is some
overdubbing-- but very effective. At times on some earlier albums, I find her voice
a bit harsh-- but not here where the 'burnishment' really adds. If you like chamber
jazz, Norma Winstone or Jay Clayton, any of the musicians helping out, or want to sample avant Italian jazz vocals that are somewhat in contrast to Tiziana Ghiglioni-- check it out.
