This is much improved over previous versions and you actually feel like you've bought a new product, not jsut an update of the old(like some others)! Each program works together, as you'd expect and has not let me down when I've been developing interacive web media. The biggest down side is the price, but when you actualy see what you get it's not bad, especialy on student licence.

QUALITY & INTEGRATION
I've only just bought MX Studio, but already I am very impressed. Each individual programme is either the best or equal best in it's field. But you also get good integration between applications across the whole suite - and no-one else offers this.
LEARNING TO USE IT
As mentioned by other reviewers, the learning curve is quite steep - as you would expect from programmes that offer comprehensive features. The tutorials supplied with the packages are very helpful in learning how to make good use of features, but (not surprisingly) you need to be computer literate already to get the most out of this.
LICENSING
If you wish to use this software for commercial purposes, the student licence does not cover this, and you will have to get the full version.
COSTS & DISCOUNTS
It is expensive. If you download your software off the internet directly from the macromedia website, you can get a bit of a discount. Bigger discounts are available to educational institutions and charities, and if you buy multiple licences.
CONCLUSION
The cost may be off-putting, but its got everything else going for it! It will save you development time, so you will get back your investment in due course.

If you are looking to design and manage your own website then this is the software for you. Installation of the software is dead easy, when you insert the disk, you are presented with a choice of what software you want to install, or you can install the whole studio package with just the click of a button.
The Macromedia MX Series has a whole host of new features added to it, i.e. a new look user interface which follows through Dreamweaver, Fireworks Flash - though if you are a Dreamweaver 4 die hard you can revert back to the good old panels. There are also a whole host of features that address web accessibiity for instance, you can validate your markup from within Dreamweaver and you can also tell Dreamweaver to prompt you, for example when inserting tabular data.
For those wishing to develop dynamic content, virtually all of the various server technologies are catered for and are only just a click away.

I can only vouch for Dreamweaver MX. I am a web developer and use both Dreamweaver MX and MS Interdev/ Visual Studio.net. Having used Dreamweaver from ver 1.0 through to UltraDev 4 this is the biggest improvement they've made from a previous edition. I've discovered that productivity has improved and if configured to xhtml standards it will format your code automatically without overwriting any javascript/vbscript/asp code you have written. Features like code hints (like Interdev) and code snippets (saving snippets of code for reuse in other sites) are great for productivity.

... The package is fantastic offering complete and intergrated design and implementation. With nothing else to rival its intergration between the programs this is the ideal choice for any web designer/developer. Flash MX is amazing. And so is Fireworks. Buy it. And if you are a student you can't go wrong. You will not be disapointed. It may a slightly steep learning curve but this is professional software.

This is a very powerful piece of software but it is not easy to use. It requires a great deal of learning before you will be able to carry out many of the functions of the software. You need to be an expert to use the very advanced features.

This is an exceptional package of programs that can be used to create some of the most advance sites on the web. However unless you are technically aware of HTML code you are unlikely to achieve this. As a bundled package it is a bargain, although a course in how to use each element of the bundle will save you alot of time and headaches in the end.
Individually the seperate packages are an improvement on the previous versions.
