I have a four year old who has two friends across the road, five and three. All three kids LOVE playing this game. Basically it's Bingo, the red dispenser lid comes off and the yellow tokens go inside. There are a lot of different tokens, they have pictures on them and the word of the objext - Cow, Foot, Shoe, Hat, House, Train, etc. The red dispenser slides back & forth & drops the tokens into the display area (you can see it in the image).

Each player has a card, there are quite a few cards. On each card is 9 squares with pictures on them - the idea is to match the yellow tokens with the squares on your board. Whoever gets them all first is the winner. There are often duplicates so more than one player might need the same token, so it's whoever is quicker to shout out will get it!

Each card has two sides of different colours - one is "easier" than the other. The colours are red and green. I forget which colour is which, but one colour (red maybe?) has more tokens in common with the other cards than the green. That means more frequently people are looking for the same tokens, which increases the competition but can be a bit unfair for younger players who aren't as quick to recognise they need a token when it's drawn. So you can give the older players the red side, and the younger players the green side, to make it a bit fairer.

Our kids spend hours playing this, I'd definitely recommend it.

We first played this with our three year old grandson in the summer after he received it from his Aunt in America. We all had a great deal of fun and wanted to know if we could get it over here. We finally found it on Amazon and got him one for Christmas so we could have it here. It is a great game, it teaches them words and pictures of the objects, plus the fun of winning. We have only beaten him once. Either he is very lucky or.....................

I have two boys, 3.5 and 6.5 years old. It is hard to entertain them, and even harder to find something to play with them without it being extremely boring to adults. I have found that Zingo is funny and entertaining (although simple). The only thing I would point out to potential buyers is the following: My younger boy has a competitive side, and because he is not as fast as his older brother yet, he avoids playing it at times - or will choose to handle the zingo thingy isntead of actually getting a card himself. But when my husband joins in and he doesnt want to be left out, our laughter rocks the house. And that is priceless.

We played zingo with a 7 and two 4 year olds and it is an all round hit. They especially like the dispenser, but our model was slightly sticking on one side and hard for the smaller ones without the whole thing jamming up, hence the 4 star. We also have an older canadian version with french on one side which is good for the 7 year old. in all it is a bit more expensive than some games but the plastic counters are very durable so worth the money. Originally this game was recommended for one of our canadian who has slight learning difficulties by his special school and it did wonders for his concentration

This game is a great success with all the children.
Great for the memory and as an interaction toy.
Helps to speed up their thought processes.

Father Christmas left this in a stocking at Christmas. The family had lots of fun with it over the Christmas break and continue to do so. The children enjoy taking it in turns to operate the dispenser - but at the expense of making the matches on their bingo cards. Games can get very competitive but are short enough that several games can be played so every one has a chance to win.

A well made sturdy item, simple, and my nearly four year old granddaughter loves it as she slides the Zingo dispenser so in fact she is in charge of the game as leaning over it she gets to see the yellow plastic card discs before us and wins everytime !
we will let her get away with it for a while ha ha
