Whilst Hornby's book serves as a darkly ironic critique of the empty voyeurism of popular culture, the film adaptation mainly focuses of the performance of Hugh Grant, whose arrogant, egotistical, chauvinistic portrayal of Will is perfection. Whilst the film fails to encapsulate many of the books themes and Horby's delightful look at 1990s pop culture, Hugh Grant manages to become ossified in a perpetual adolescence that Will wrongly perceives as swinging bachelorhood, and it is his performance which makes this average film worth watching.

The film tells about Will Freeman, a 36 years rich man. He has a life no responsibilities and he likes attractive single mothers...until he meets Marcus, a 12 years boy who made his life change with hilarious results.

This is a enjoyable film. It is very funny, but it also has a much more serious side about love. It has made most of audience have a lot of think about relationship after see it.

The thing I didn't like about the film is actors speak English very fast. Some parts in the film, I couldn't understand.

The film has brought along a lesson for us. In our life, we should live responsibile and have good relationships.

This film at it all: Hugh Grant, a cheesy song, and a dead duck. Well, there's heart too. Will(Hugh Grant) is a shalow bachelor who discovers the power of single-parents. Great sex and hot moms. However, he gets more than he bargains for when he meets Marcus, a 9 year-old boy who doesn't belong. They both work great together: Will uses Marcus to get women, and Marcus learns how to change Will for the good. However, Will's plan backfires and he FALLS IN LOVE. Charming from beginning to end, this film will make you laugh and cry.

I watched this film a few days ago expecting the usual hugh Grant bumbling ...character Ive come to loathe/expect over the years. I was thoroughly suprised. This film was great, one of the best films i have seen in a long time. The film focuses around one man who starts going to a single parents meeting, to meet women, one problem He doesnt have a child.
