This a great compilation of one of the finest bands to come out of the late 70s. OK it does miss out a couple of essential singles that you can find on the definitive SINGLES GOING STEADY but these are replaced with some superb album tracks including the two seven minute epics "Moving Away From The Pulse beat" and "I Believe". If you just want a genuine best of this album will do but it also works as a great introduction to any new listeners to a band who should be mentioned in the same breath as The Jam, Pistols and Clash etc. It also shows what a fantastic but underrated songwriter Pete Shelley was. ENJOY!

This is'nt their finest as it misses out three of their most popular singles: What Do I Get, Love You More and Promises. What you do get besides a couple of essential singles is the best of their album tracks. So, you must also buy their "Singles Going Steady" album which is made up of 'A' & 'B' sides. However, if you were only going to buy only one of the two, this is the better as their 'B' sides were largely pants.

all the best singles from this group in one handy portion... each one a nugget of three minute pure pop-punk excellence!

I'd never heard of the Buzzcocks apart from the famous 'Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)? This song gets them at their best but the rest of their songs are all punky and catchy, if a little simplistic. That has nothing to do with how good they sound though, they are pretty good and i think some of their best songs are left off of this album. Like the liner notes say "The Buzzcocks are much more than a jokey reference to the title of a pop quiz". If i were you i'd go and buy it, theres lots to like.

A couple of good tracks missing like promises but a good overall play list. Not very impressed with accessing the music via Amazon Cloud though!

Seeing them soon so wanted to hear some more of their stuff, i remember some of their tracks back in late 70's 80's, played the cd once & never again, hopefully they are better live !
