In early 1996, Chris Goss and Tony Coleman put their musical heads together and laid down the blueprint for Hospital Records. Six years on and moving into 2002, it's mission accomplished: a host of talented artists on a flourishing label with a back catalogue to cut off your right hand for.
The last year has been phenomenal for the Hospital label, with continued radio support, alongside "Singles Of The Week/Month" from countless magazines.
The Hospital crew are proud to present their next dose of 'Plastic Surgery'. "Volume 3" picks up where last year's project left off, but stretches the musical convas even wider than before - from the deep bass tones of Mathematics and High Contrast, to club roll-outs from Total Science and Tony Coleman, encompassing the likes of Delta, Danny Byrd, Nitin Sawhney, Blue Sonix and many more. 'Plastic Surgery Vol. 3' also showcases a drum'n'bass rare groove featuring Gwen McCrae from 1997, and a left-of-centre 7" cut from Norway, alongside the vocal pressure and soul flavours that Hospital have continually championed.
'Plastic Surgery Vol. 3' (the second CD being mixed by new Hospital wunderkind High Contrast) selects some choice names from the soulful school of drum'n'bass and pairs them up with a number of underground stars, to produce an album that satisfies the musically-minded, whilst furnishing the dancefloor with plenty of peak-time anthems.

A good mix of tracks here, the 1st CD is mainly synth based and focuses more on melody and nice tunes, and the 2nd CD delves deeper into traditional D+B, with much more bassy tunes and hooklines, and minor tone melodies.
CD1 is upbeat, whereas CD2 is more dark and moody. Definitely worth checking out due to the mix of styles on offer, and quite a few top quality tunes, especially on CD1.

Once again, you are in for a treat if you like your Drum & Bass with soul in it! This is another selection of fine cuts from residents London Elektricity, Delta, the man of the moment: High contrast and guest appearances from the mighty Total Science, Blue sonix & more. This label continues to produce some of the finest tunes around, proving Drum & Bass is still the premier sound of UK Dance music. Buy it, Its medicine in more than name. It'll make your life better!
