4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable little thriller
As a fan of Kelly McGillis, I was searching the internet the other day for any of her less-known films and came across this one. Apart from McGillis herself, and the well-known character actor, Barry Corbin, who plays Sheriff Joe Webster, I couldn't recognise any of the young cast but began to enjoy the film right away. The story is a neat little thriller about a series of violent killings in a small community, and the way those killings ultimately impact on the life of a journalist, Trish Burchall (McGillis) and on her young family of two daughters. The director, John laing, who also co-adapted, with Craige Cronin, the film script from an original screeplay by Ian Coughlan, does a first-class job in keeping the suspense going for the duration of the movie, and the climatic ending is excellent. You will enjoy watching this movie.
