I have had mine for a long time now and they continue to breed. They are fantastic and all you need to do after purchasing this kit is buy extra food which is only £2.50 a pack. As long as the instructions are followed properly they last for years.

I bought some sea monkeys a couple of weeks ago and they are fantastic! i did not think mine were going to hatch as I was stupid enough to not read the instructions properly so i used tap water, not bottled. I ended up boiling the water and leaving it to cool as i thought that might be better for the young sea monkeys. Well i added the pouch of instant eggs and waited. Being so impatient, i was constantly looking for tiny seamonkeys in the container. After a couple of days they hatched. I now have 6 large seamonkeys (2boys the rest girls) and many little ones. (And two of the girls are pregnant). I highly recomend people buying these little critters, they are brilliant! ... and very hypnotic :)

this product is great! i loved it and i only just
put the eggs in about a month ago! thay grow so fast i didn't worry much about the heat if you put them on a dining table near the sun light they will be fine! but remember to not put them in direct sun light or they will die.

sea-monkeys are amazing! the first time i grew mine, which was quite a while ago, i was fascinated!! instant pets were my new best friends! this set here would be the best set to go for if your new to them as u get everything you need, and nothing else. the pets themselves are in a sachet of powder which you put into the tank of water (after purifying with the provided purifier). it's a weird thought, but it works! also with this kit, you have an instruction book full of info that will get you started and also has interesting facts and "games" to do. i highly recommend trying these guys out. these pets only need feeding once a week!! an interesting pet they will be for you all...

i had 2 sea monkeys tanks 11 or 12 years ago, i had hundreds of the little critters,
for the first few days nothing happened and i thought i must have done something wrong even though i followed the instructions, but after about 4 days i noticed some tiny ones swimming around, im not sure how long each one lived for but both of my tanks lasted for about 18 months,
i ordered some a few days ago because my 2 daughters asked me and their mum for a pet and i remembered these, no mess to clean up, and very easy to look after,
if you are having problems getting your tank started, just look online, there is always someone who may know something you can try to help them along.

the tank is about 20cm/23cm in height, 10cm/12cm in width and about 5cm in depth and 2 packets of food lasted me the 18 months that i had them,
they are cheap, clean and easy to keep, what more could you ask for in a pet :)

Bought these for my nephews 7th birthday after seeing TV adverts, but wasn't so impressed with the size and the cheap look of the product when it arrived, but my nephew seemed quite intrigued with it & was eager to get them started. We only started them today, so will have to wait a while to see exactly what happens-but we're quite hopeful of a result!!
All in all, if you explain to the child that you can create life in a cheap little plastic tub they get quite excited, so i think it's a good, fun present.

My son was delighted when hundreds of the critters hatched overnight, we used bottled water, north facing window did everything instructed but nevertheless within about 5 days they had all disappeared. Fearing upset for my son and not quite knowing how to explain it to him he luckily didn't notice and we went away for a weeks holiday (this was already planned not just to avoid the seamonkey upset!) but to my amazement on our return there was about 10 fat seamonkeys swimming around happily with no food or care lavished on them what so ever!
So don't worry and give seamonkeys a chance- don't tip them down the toilet too soon!

I had bought this for my friends birthday and even though we did EXACTLY what it asked us to do on the intrsuctions (which you had to decipher cause it was just pictures and no writing!) we did exactly what it said on the instructions, waited for a week to see if anything would appear and nothing ! Me and my friend were both very dissapointed by this bad batch but i cannot afford to buy another !

I bought sea monkeys for my daughter as I had some when I was about her age. She loves them as I did and they are a great way to teach children responsiblity. I am really happy with my purchase and recommend them to all.

my son was very excited with his sea monkeys ocean zoo.....we followed the instructions to the letter and ended up with cloudy water and no sea monkeys very disappointed indeed waste of money to say the least!!
