Well i've had this programme for all of a day and i already think its well worth its money. Whilst some may find the method of teaching a little daunting at first; i can assure you if you stick with it you will see results. Listen and practice repeating the conversations with the programme and write key phrases down in a notebook. You are not suppose to understand every word. So long as you follow the dialogues you'll pick up the basics.

Not at all useful for beginners. Most of the chapters on the CD are even listed as "intermediate". I'm a native German speaker and bought this for my boyfriend, and when I checked my pronounciation, I was told to "work on it"!!!

One of the powerful points of this product is the syntax explanation of each word in every sentence, particularly usuful in learning german. The pronunciation practice is very good, in general the listening-speaking practice of this product is very well designed. Each of the four titles focuses on different grammatical and vocabulary themes, therefore it is necessary to work in all the four together and not one after the completion of the other. The exercises are good for vocablary building, but not clevery designed for grammar practice. The quiz part of GrammarPro, given in the second CD-ROM as a bonus, is really useless for german; just a few tests repeating themselves again and again. There isn't a structured teaching, the student is left by himself/herself in learning procedure. That was not a problem for me because I have experience in learning new staff and I'm multilingual, but it could give a hard time to the unexperienced student. Overall, i'm happy with this buy.
