I had my doubts about the quality and style of the cd seeing as it's years old! But It's better than expected!
Just be free: this is a different version the one available on single and is fr more supurior. An excellent dance tune. This original mix sounds like melanie c's I turn to you
By your side: Another great tune although slightly repetitive its a great pop song sounding like an early what a girl wants.
move it dance remix: Fun energetic and to dance to!
Our day will come: starts of with a bang. The only problem with this song and the whole album is the lack of good lyrics.think of new spice girls material and youre there!
The next few songs are very simalar sounding they each have much to offer, dream a dream is sickly sweet and baby you make me happy is reminicent of somebody's somebody.
The beat picks up again with the last 3 songs running out of time is good Belive me dance remix is one of my fave tracks on the album, it's soo cheesy and euro poppy! I love it!! Just be free spanish is different to the single version and also alot better it includes Christina doing a spanish rap!! *It is very enjoyable!
If you love 80's madonna and Spice girls you will love this album! An excellent addition to any christina aguilera fan's collection!

When i bought this CD, i was unaware that Christina herself did not want people to buy it. If i had of known i wouldn't have bought it.
The CD itself is okay. Christina's voice is just as fabulous as ever but the style is much unlike her and it reflects the type of music that was around during this era. It is nothing compared to "Stripped" but as i said Christina sounds great and there are a few good songs, such as "Believe Me" and my personal favourite "Dream A Dream".
Diehard fans like myself will like it. Christina shouldn't be too ashamed of this it was ecceptional for a girl of 14 and 15 to produce. well done chris!

when i first listened to this cd, i must admit i was a bit surprised to hear the difference between this and christina`s first cd, what a total change, thats not to say i did`nt enjoy it.there are two track`s that i was`nt too keen on but the rest of the cd was absolutely`s one of those cd`s that ,when you first listen to it you`r not sure of, but after that you cant stop listening to over and over always christina`s voice is outstanding, a real must for any christina aguilera fan.

I really didnt expect to like this album, i just bought it to complete my collection. I rate some of these songs very highly, while others are quite good or plain bad! Recommended if you are quite a big fan...
1. Just Be Free - I like this version better than the single one as its less repetitive and just more like a proper song! Upbeat, dancy style. Its not the best on the album though 7/10
2. By Your Side - I love this one! It is funky upbeat poppy/r'n'b song with catchy chorus 8/10
3. Move It (Dance Mix) - Another upbeat dancey song, a bit like Just be free but i prefer this song 8/10

4. Our Day Will Come - I like this song, its neither upbeat or slow, has an r'n'b type style and i love the chorus. The problem with it is the very repetitive beat. So it gets 6/10
5. Believe Me - This is quite nice slow ballad, especially the background music and it has a cute meaning. I much prefer the remix though - 5/10
6. Make Me Happy - This is mid-pace groovesome nice and catchy but not the best. 6/10
7 Dream A Dream - The nicest ballad on here, its cute 6/10
8. Move It - The original version, boring 4/10
9. The Way You Talk To Me - ok 5/10
10. Running Out Of Time - another boring one 5/10
11. Believe Me (Dance Mix) = Brilliant upbeat eurodance remix! My absolute favourite! 9/10
12. Just Be Free (Spanish) - This is good apart from the dodgy background music 7/10

As a big christina fan i had to get this album,As it was her first album and she was only 14 at the time. And i did not expect it to be anything like as good as her wonderful work now.To be fair its not bad but don't expect to much because its no where near the quality of her other albums, and it would be wrong to compare them too. You can still see where the class is coming from and im glad i brought it and it was cheap. so in sumery, If your a christina fan and you have not bought this album then add to basket you collection wont be complete without it.

There are two good songs on this CD; Just Be Free and the Latin remix on Just Be Free. They are very catchy and danceable tunes. Every other song, however, has been scraped off the bottom of the barrel and should be sealed in a volt never to be heard again! They all have an unbelieveably irritating and dated techno-type beat whether it's suited to the song or not and all the lyrics have been chosen because they rhyme and are devoid of feeling or sentiment. It's far short of the standard of her latest releases, I'd advise any Christina fan to wait for her next album released in Autumn.
