Intercontinental Title Match
Edge vs Lance Storm 6/10
A decent match that shows some good moves and a run in by Christian trying to help Edge win the title. Did he succeed?
6 Man Tag Tem Match
The Dudley Boyz and Test vs The Acolytes and Spike Dudley 5/10
This is your usual six man tag match that could have sufficed on Raw or SmackDown. We saw dominating moves by APA and we saw Spike get a beating.
WWF Light Heavyweight Title vs WCW Cruiserweight Title Unification Match
X-Pac vs Tajiri 7/10
This is where the PPV started to pick up. I am not a big fan of X-Pac so Tajiri made the match exciting for me one thing was though, this match was slow.
Chris Jericho vs Rhyno 8/10
This was a great match which was fast and furious.
There is a very funny skit between William Regal and The Rock, with Shawn Stasiak trying to attack The Rock.
WWF Hardcore Title Ladder Match
Jeff Hardy vs Rob Van Dam 10/10
This match beats their match at last months Invasion, excellent stuff.
WWF Tag Team Titles vs WCW Tag Team Titles Unification Steel Cage Match
The Undertaker and Kane vs Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon 5/10
I really didn't know what was going on here because that Taker and Kane dominated all the way though the match and it was too anti climatic.
WWF World Title Match
Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle 10/10
Even though it had a bit of controversy at the end and was a bit slow it was still a great match and I have never seen Angle so intense in my life.
WCW World Title Match
Booker T vs The Rock 10/10
Another great match with lots of fast and powerful moves and the hype of the return of The Rock to PPV was worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty damn good.., 2 Jan. 2002
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
All of the matches were pretty good but Tajiri vs X-Pac was just superb. These 2 have excellent chemistry and i really hope i get to see them face it off in the ring again. Booker T vs Rock is your usual brawling affair but suprisingly entertaining. And finally Stone Cold vs Kurt Angle is a fine fine match. If your going to buy this for one match however, but it for the x-Pac and Tajiri one. Superb :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Summerslam ever made!!!! It's True, it's true!!!, 3 Dec. 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The big matches are finally here on video. Rock goes for the WCW Championship against Booker T in a match that is truly one of the most electrifying matches in sports entertainment. Also Stone Cold's WWF Championship is on the line against Kurt Angle, it's true, it's true. Also other titles are on the line such as Intercontinental, both Tag Team titles, both the lightweight and cruiserweight are up for grabs in the same match, one person will go away with both titles but who will it be, Tajiri or X-Pac?? As a WWF fan myself, I would highly recommend that you put this on your MUST GET list because it is truly the best Summerslam ever!!!!

Xpac vs Tajiri 8.5/10
Y2J vs Rhyno 8/10
Ladder Match: Jeff Hardy vs RVD 9.5/10
Cage Match: Undertaker and Kane vs DDP and Kanyon 8/10
Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle 10/10 **Match of the night**
Booker T vs Rock 9/10
Good PPV with no "bad matches". Austin Vs Angle was fantastic and Rock vs Booker T was a tiny bit pretictable but good. The Rock outclassed Booker, still good match. Jeff Hardy Vs RVD was great as well with sum "bone crunching" stuff... HEHE. Overall Great so... well.... buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Summer Slam, 30 July 2003
This review is from: WWF: Summer Slam 2001 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This event is very good, it kicks off with a good ic title match between edge n lance storm 7/10. It is then a 6 man tag betwen apa n spike vs the dudleys n test, a good fast paced match with an excellent ending. 8.10 . Then it is rhyno n jericho n a good match where jercho takes a hilarious fall off the top rope goin 4 a missile drop kick , the match is still rounded of well tho with the rite man winnig 8/10. It is then jeff hardy n rvd in a highly anticipated ladder match 4the hardcore title , it is a good match but not as a good as expeted , n the ending spoils it , still good tho 8/10 . Undertaker n kane then take on DDP n Kanyon in a ok match which jus got a bit silly 7/10. Up comes the best match of the nite austin n angle excellent match with some gr8 controversy . This is angle n austin atthere best 10/10 . Then the main event booker t and the rock a good match with shane doin some gr8 heel work like usual , with the right man winin at the end 9/10 . A brilliant summerslam not as good as 2000 tho the best event of all time , tht is a gr8 buy , n e summerslam is .
