One of the only sequels I've played that surpasses the original, Tomb Raider 2 came close but Syphon Filter 3 breaks the mold set by the original released back in February 1999. The Syphon Filter 2 left us craving that a third installation be created, a final chapter, concluding Gabriel Logan's war against the government agency and the 'Syphon Filter' virus. With a new high-tech arsenal including laser crossbows and more assault rifles than you can shake a finger at, you are placed in drivers seat of this roller coster ride to stop the Syphon Filter virus... 'Breathtaking!'

When the first Syphon Filter came along it blew a lot of people away. Standing out as an action filled Metal Gear Solid, the Syphon Filter series stood in a class of its own. The second installment was probably the series at it's peak and sadily Syphon Filter 3 feels a bit tired in comparison. New mini games are fine, and the opening level of sniping enemies from a hotel room kicks things off well. However the further you go into the game the more you realise youve been here before. More fresh ideas please.

My favourite game series of all time finishes with a bang (for the time being). Graphics are not as good as the other two and it seems a bit stilted in terms of plot lines by going through some of the old cutscenes in the form of missions.
But game play is fantastic, pace of gameplay is quick and the enemies come quick and fast. The storylines often develop as you are playing a mission and allies can become enemies after one short message.
This game is a pleasure to play, it is short but very well packed together with absouletly no boring bits like metal gear solid
In short a must buy

Forget Solid Snake and Lara Croft. They are no match for Playstation's true action hero, Gabriel Logan or better known as Gabe Logan. The third and final installment of Syphon Filter has arrived and it does not dissapoint. Gabe and Lian decide to end the Syphon Filter weapons sale for good in this brilliant game. The levels are really well done and the video sequences are fantastic. Anyone who has not played the first and second game of the Syphon Filter series should not buy this due to the person playing needing to know the history of Syphon Filter. There are more weapons such as the Falcon - Gabe's new pistol, but still keeping the original weapons in the game. There are also mini games in which to test your ability as an Assasin - eliminating people in various levels (DC Subway, Pharcom Expo Centre, New York slums ect), providing cover fire for a demolition expert, being a thief (testing your stealth ability), all out elimination of the enemy and there is one more mini game which is locked. There are dificulty settings for these which you advance to once completing the level - the settings are Trainee, Rookie, Agent, Special Agent and Commander.
If you have the previous 2 games in the series buy this one. If you only have the first game, buy the second and this. Both are available at Amazon. The only bad point of this game, compared to "Syphon Filter 2", is that it is a bit too easy.

The third instalment of the popular Syphon Filter actioner has arrived, and boy does it deliver. The game is played in a flashback format with Gabe Logan trying to clear his name in congress. Lots of nice new weapons and some nice little mini games make this a more than worthy final instalment to one of the best trilogies out there.
The only down side...... some of the enviroments are a little confusing with a little too many random corridors and routes, but if your a fan of the first two instalments then it shouldn't prove too much of a problem.
