this game is pretty much the same to the phenommenal success of msr on the dreamcast but with better graphics and sound. but is still a worthy title to purchase on the xbox.

Ok, I bought Wreckless as well as I am a carnut, and after having played the two games one after the other I would say that get wreckless if you want arcade fun, or Gotham if you want a GranTurismo equivalent (yet with more focus on fun!) The "kudos" system (where u earn extra points based on your driving flair and risk-taking brings a new dimension to car games (really!) as you want to execute that perfect handbrake turn in your spankingly real Ferrari 360!
If you're a car fanatic, get Wreckless AND Project Gotham...
If you want more lasting depth just get this!
Graphics so good that you watch replays with real pride...

The best PGR game by far, disc jumps slows down, crashes but this is normal for old xboxes or old games 10/10 game

this is a good game but it's by no means spectacular. the graphics are good but don't by any means show off what the Xbox can do. the cars handle well though you have to keep telling yourself you're driving a ferrari not a top of the range dyson. its a vast improvement on metropolis street racer, but the kudos system is still irritating. e.g. execute a perfect slide through a corner, but one of the other cars (who happen to be driven by people who don't seem to care their cars cost £100k) knocks you into the side and you lose the points. it has depth, but you have to be ultra-committed to play all the way to getting the F50. its a good game, but i expected a lot more. if you want a top notch driving game with unbeatable depth, graphics, sound, playability and longetivity, buy Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec on the PS2

This is a good game by all respects, the cars are beutiffuly done and the real locations just add to the games realism, but the games good because it rewards even the worst gamers (like me) because for the first three hours of gameplay you get a new helmet each hour and building up your Kudos has its own rewards. And you can even customize your own music to listen to as you play

It is important to start by saying this is an enjoyable game, the views as you drive through the city streets are incredible and for those of you who know the area that a particular race is set, will be amazed at the detail. Also once you get past the stage of only having a choice of three clanky cars the menu of fast production metal is Ace.
HOWEVER the playabilty when you dont have a steering wheel leaves alot to be desired !! The cars do oversteer and the handbraking is not realistic. There is also nothing much more to acheive or discover once you get to drive all of the cars.

Project Gotham Racing! This game has a vey usful system using the kudus as a was to describe how well you drive in style around a circuit. It is cool that that on the kudus challange and thr arcade mode give you new an improved cars depending on the levels and which you complete. On the Quick race mode it is very challenging to earn gold on every level but that is the only way in which to unlock a new performance car. Multiplayer is cool because you can race your friends and see who has more skill!! This game is SIMPLY THE BEST. ONLY FOR XBOX!!

Project Gotham Racing, the sequel to the great MSR on dreamcast. The game has unbelivable depth but as the game wears on the challenges get harder and thus more frustrating.
But sega have done a wonderful job. The attention to detail and the mass amount of cars is phenominal. Many people judge PGR to GT3 it is similer but PGR has a top quality carrer mode which Gt3 has as well so yes they are similar.
Sega have done a wonderful job its a great game but frustrating and harder challenges make this game a 4 star not 5.
