5.0 out of 5 stars great fun and very enjoyable
This game is one of my top games already and i've only had it for about two weeks. The graphics are amazing. Some of the levels were pretty hard but some were short and simple.Munch and Abe are not at all the same, for example Abe cannot swim but Munch can and Abe is quite fast and Munch very slow. Everyone is made up and is sort of weird. Fuzzles are cute but very...

1.0 out of 5 stars Sound does not work properly
I got this game due to the fact that ABE is a great game, but this is the second time i have bought this game and the sound does not work after the first level.
It must be a problem playing this game on the new Xbox, so my advice is if you want to try this very good game PLEASE DONT buy it unless you have an original Xbox as the lack of sound is not only downer its...

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellant but Dissapointing, 6 Jan 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Oddworld : Munch's Oddysee (Xbox) (Video Game)
Well first of all i eventually got round to purchasing this game i was so excited i shot out of my bed banging my head on the ceiling when it arrived one morning.
The game loaded up like the previous introductions but had a fly in it, like in Abes Oddysee the camrea zoomed into the temple and the name of the game was introduced, and in Abes Exoddus it was a mudokon spraying on a wall and a bunch of mudokons getting beaten up. But all in all they had a kind of creepy approach if you think about it logically. The game itself seemed to have lost the creepy idea and went for a more cheerful approach. It was quite dissapointing at first but after a couple of hours of playing i eventually stopped caring about it.
The only problems i found with this game was that it had kind of gone back to the style of Abe's Oddysee where you can only posses so much. You can posses everything in Munch's Oddysee like Scrabs, Sligs, Glukkons but they didn't have any speech put in like in Abe's Oddysee. The sligs speech is varied from "Your Mamma" "Poo Face" and many highly offensive things (sarcasm) But still at least you dont get shot now when your possesed.
The other dissapointing thing was there was very little challenge in the game. Not many puzzles. It had turned to the style of a Jak and Daxter type game. Which i didn't mind because i am parchally fond of that too but still it could of done with a few puzzles. There are also very little FMV'S in the game. A maximum of four as i can remember, but the "Good Ending" at the end of the game lasted 10mins or something like that which made up for it. Fianlly the last bad point was that most of the scenery looked almost the same except it had been swapped round a bit and altered.
Anyway on to the good points. First of all a new type of heavily armed sligs have been introduced known as "Big Bro Sligs" which look really cool. Other creatures such as Vykers, Gabbits,Interns and Fuzzle's have been introduced and the cute little Meeps. There is one part of the game where you have to heard about 20 meeps back into their pen and battle agaisnt armoured Interns and Vykers which was fun. There are many fun parts of the game when you think about it, especially Abes to ability to pick things up. Overall it was an excellant game dispite the lack Fleech's (even though i detested them)Shrykkl and Greeters.
This game is worth the money in my opinion. If you have played the previous games i can bet that you will like this one.
If you are unaware of the story it's all about this creature called Munch who is the last of his species(Gabbit) and he's been captured and had something stuck in his head. Abe goes to save him and they have to set off for Abe's Unborn Brothers (Mudokon Eggs) and the remaining can of Gabbier (Gabbit Eggs). Depending on how you progress through out the game depends on what happens at the end. Oh well i hope this was help to those who are unaware of this game. BYE

2.0 out of 5 stars Munch's Oddysee, 9 May 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Oddworld : Munch's Oddysee (Xbox) (Video Game)
I found this game diappointing compared to the other Abe games. The gameplay was repetitive and unchallenging, and although the graphics were great - I found that the only reason I continued playing was to 'finish the game'
