First off, you should find this on Amazon for under a pound (currently a penny at the time of review). For less than the price of a Tesco sandwich, you are offered an album with 16 tracks from one of the greatest hard rock bands of the Seventies. It includes classics such as 'I Surrender' and the thunderous 'Stargazer' as well as '16th Century Greensleeves' and frankly, all their hits of the era. The quality of the music is phenomenal, the vocals stunning and the sleeve notes are brief but informative and the overall package, very satisfying. A perfect place to start your Rainbow collection.

Rainbow have always been one of my guilty pleasures - Blackmore is a great guitarist & Dio could sing (as could Joe Lynn Turner & Bonnett)but some of their stuff was awful. Still, this compilation is a great cheap / mid price collection which features their best known hits & some of their stronger efforts - a decent CD if you just want a snap shot of what Rainbow produced.Probably not one for the hardcore fan, more for the "enthusiast".

Wait until the family are out,put on the headphones & sit in a darkened room & listen to "Since You've Been Gone" - catchy, naff but still quality.

Without a doubt one for people of a "certain age". A guilty, secret pleasure indeed !!

This compilation offers a pretty good snapshot of the band in their heyday. There are better compilations out there but given the relatively cheap price of this it is a good taster. It also contains a few lesser known songs so not quite a best of or greatest hits.

If you don't want to shell out too much to give them a try then this is worth considering.
