An album of this calibre deserves more than 5 stars, 12 Aug 2002

This is a heavy Album! If you're unfamiliar with Calibre's sound, then expect tunes with a totally different vibe to most tracks being put out on the scene today. You wont find no short lived anthems here, all these tracks have real longevity. Calibre covers many styles whilst sticking to his usual formula of trademark beats, rumbling bass and quirky hooks. The tunes on here are Fresh, never getting too jazzy or too dark, but staying somewhere in between. There are no tracks on here which suggest last minute "filler", each and every tune is a masterpiece. My personal favorite cut has to be "Parallels", it's got a great vocal hook and a heavy Soul influence. I'd reccomend a better album if there were one but there isnt so I guess if you're a bit of a Fabio like me then you're not going to find a better album than this.

This double album captures all that is great about drum and bass: variety, depth, grooves and of course the essential drums and bass! Such a well rounded album that will fit any of my moods, this is not the most hectic D&B album around, but in this case thats its appeal, so many sounds and creations. Just Brill!! You must have it in your collection!

A near perfect work, well done Calibre! This album has not left my mp3 player for months, each track just grows and grows on you. Raw, funky, soulful and unique, the beat for every tune is different which is rare in this scene. Sublime hooks and gorgeous basslines!!

With the plates of various Calibre tunes going round for a good two years, support from all the top boys of the scene and guest appearances on albums such as Plastic Surgery 2 expectations were high.Luckily this is no disappointment. A double album full of rollers, which don't diasppoint even though there are few real deviations from the funky d n b formula. Stand out cuts such as 'Deep Everytime' and 'Our Love parts 1 and 2' and 'Let the music play' will get you every time. Right up there with the Dillinja album in terms of quality. Also available on CD. Fans of Bukem, Fabio and Patiffe should hunt this down urgently.

Excellent. An all time Classic Drum and Bass album. 11/10, 3 Sep 2001

After nearly 2 years of waiting it finally arrived. Funky fresh and very very Fabio, this will be an all time classic drum and bass album. Every single DNB fan should own this album. Musique Concrete is packed full of amazing tunes, no album fillers. Calibre has summed up what is going on in DNB at the moment. I'd even rcommend this to people who havent liked DNB before. The right stuff, Our love, what you need, the sax track, you make it hot, the list goes on and there isnt a weak tune in there . This truly is quality dance music in a whole other league to anything you will hear in the mainstream charts. If youve strayed from DNB in recent years this album will get you firmly back on track. This album is quite simply EXCELLENT i can virtually guarantee you will be more than happy with this album.

Calibre stays in top gear, 16 Jan 2005
Double CD full of amazing tunes, deep, smooth, rich n long lasting. This CD will be in your collection for a long time and I think it will stand out as a testimony to the diversity of Drum and Bass.

This album is another triumph for calibre. The irish artist is the hottest property on the scene and this album is no exception. Very uplifting and utilising effects never heard before in drum and bass. A must have
