This is where Gregory went all digital. It's all gated drum and cheesy 80s keyboards. Gone are the sublime bass lines and drum breaks, as laid down by the Roots Radics, which chacterised his late 70s, early 80s efforts. Having said that, Gregory still retains his knack for a beautiful melody and the tunes are strong, but it all sounds a bit lightweight. Worth it at a knockdown price, but not a patch on the unsurpassed trilogy 'Cool Ruler', 'Soon Forward' and 'More Gregory', three of the finest reggae records in recorded history.

I have hunted for this CD for 12yrs and was over joyed to find it on Amazon. And it was just as I remembered.Gregory Isaacs is one of the best Reggae Artists ever. With his sweet velvet voice and up beat love songs he never disappoints but this CD to me is one of his best.Anyone with any interest in Reggae should buy this one and just listen. I'm by no means a Mills & Boon kind of gal in fact Im a devout Stones fan and can usually be found back in the 70s with Free or the Doors. Gregory is'nt The dog died and the roof fell in type love songs his Lyrics are wise and witty and some how on a another level. Definatly not music to slit your throat by.I'd just like to say a huge thank you to Amazon for having the good taste to stock this one. This will bring me hours if good memories of great times. Give it a go theres nothing to lose. Happy Listening "BUY" for now P Flamingo

This compilation of his biggest successes with producer Gussie Clark's digital update of the 1970s sound, finds Gregory Isaacs in classic good shape. 12'mixes of 3 hits: Rumours, Rough neck and Mind yu dis and the title track are the highlights. The other tracks are only a little bit less. In his long and satisfying career these Gregory Isaacs recordings stand their ground.

gregory isaacs the main man, a sad loss to the world when the cool ruler pasted away & i can't see anyone in this life time to replace him. what a fine artist he was, a very sad loss to the world, may rest in piece...very good artist.
