Released back in 2001, the Death Metal five-piece ‘Mangled’ brought out the brutal ten track album ‘Most Painful Ways’. Released through the Hammerheart label, the Netherlands-based outfit bring on a fierce barrage of tight and proficient sounding death metal with a sprinkling of Doom thrown into their impressive tracks of sheer aggression. The guitar production on the whole album is very deep, delivering a powerful and almost ‘Pantera’ crunching. The overall production is top-notch, bringing out the harsh and low growl of Pepijn Houwen.

All in all, the CD is a brutal endeavor into the world of Death Metal, delivering a proficient and talented approach to this extreme musical style. Well worth picking up.
