5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis at his ultimate best!, 3 April 2001
This review is from: Suspicious Minds Live (Audio CD)
Elvis was really at his best when this "LIVE" version of "Suspicious Minds" was recorded. He looked and sounded superb. The "LIVE" version was recorded at the International Hotel in Las Vegas in August 1970 and for anyone who has only heard the studio version of this song, which is included as track 2, this really is different. It's faster and a lot more dynamic - even though the single is edited. If you want to hear the full version as well as a lot of other great performances buy the CD "THE LIVE GREATEST HITS" which is also great. It was taken from the newly remastered movie "ELVIS - THATS THE WAY IT IS which is in the cinemas shortly. The third track is a new version of "THE WONDER OF YOU", again recorded live (just like the original release) and of course is a great favourite. To sum up, I really think this should be Elvis' 18th Number *1

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Class, 9 Mar. 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Suspicious Minds Live (Audio CD)
Ever wondered why Elvis has so many fans around the world? Why The King, 24 years after his passing away, still entertains millions? Why he still has 450 active fanclubs? This is the answer. What a great song, what a remarkable voice. Many attempts have been made to cover "Suspicious Minds", but the only one song that'll stand the test of time, is Elvis's version.

5.0 out of 5 stars The king does his thing and shows the rest how to sing., 4 Mar. 2001

This review is from: Suspicious Minds Live (Audio CD)
Altough this song has been released before (1969) it still more than stands the test of time. Even though its been covered by several other artists nobody quite sings or performs it like the king. Having witnessed the songs performance in (ELVIS THE CONCERT) both at wembley arena and the nec you get some idea of the crowds reaction to Elvis. To actually of seen him perform this live must have been a once in a life time experience. If there is any justice in the pop world this will get to number one as there has only ever been one king and in my opinion this is his greatest performance ever.

I couldnt think of anything more wonderful. The re-release of suspicious minds in my opinion is something that we all need .Through todays pop trash and all the trends in music that are being heard which most of them in my opinion shouldnt even be played on radio,Suspicious Minds still shines like a diamond. The timelesness of this classic is just fascinating. We should all do what we can to make this remarkable work of art a #1 Hit in this time and Era.

5.0 out of 5 stars Counts to the top hits of the 20th century!, 27 Mar. 2001
This review is from: Suspicious Minds Live (Audio CD)
Elvis was the Artist of the 20th century! This hit from 1969 was one of his finest performances following the Rock'n'Roll hits of the 50s. Coming back to the stage in Las Vegas he showed that he still was the King of Rock'n'Roll. The re-release of this song on a CD-single and the 3rd world tour of Elvis-The Concert prove that he is also the King in the new millennium!

5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis is the greatest ever and this should be his 18th NO.1, 12 Mar. 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Suspicious Minds Live (Audio CD)
Elvis was the King and will always be so, and Suspicious Minds shall always be associated with him and his Comeback in 68 / 69. As he is the King it would be the greatest accolade in the world to give him a new number 1, 24 years after his last and in the light of the success of the 50 Greatist Hits at Christmas.
