3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best Tupac album released, but still some fly tunez!
A long anticipated first album of the 2 that are being released this year from the Tupac archive and straight up this album from an outsiders point of view is definately the bomb, but for people who know of Tupac and know his music well i am sure they would agree that this aint exactly hs best album compared to some of his previous releases. This album is the absolute LICK. It was a surprise to me because i thought it wouldnt be as good as the last albums, but it was - and better. The fact that Pac himself didnt have any influence on what stuff made the album is quite obvious, but its still a classic album, as is all of his work, with some very tight cuts. "Lil'Homies" and "All Out" a few of the best in my opinion. "Until the end of Time" (the first track to be released) is sure to be big hit, not only with fans but also non-pac fans. This album illustrates his excellence when he was alive. To think that he not only made all those classic tracks that were released then, but also he layed down so many more that are still being released today. He truly is an inspiration and this album is a MUST buy for any fan of pac and of hip-hop.Peace, Out. 1 love, 1 thug.

This review is from: Until The End Of Time (Audio CD)
Having loved 2-pacs previous album, decided to top up on my collection, wasn't sure if it would be as could as ' all eyes on me' but it is just as great! on disk 1 some of the best track have to be 2. f*** friendz 3. lil'homies actually all of them! I really love ' my closest roaddogz' got a really strong beat to it. and the following two tracks are brill too. 2 pac is a genius, r.i.p you have to buy it if you've got any of his other albums, and if you hav'nt your mad, go out and buy some now! True hip hop brilliance, this is what it's all about.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best Tupac album released, but still some fly tunez!, 9 April 2001

A long anticipated first album of the 2 that are being released this year from the Tupac archive and straight up this album from an outsiders point of view is definately the bomb, but for people who know of Tupac and know his music well i am sure they would agree that this aint exactly hs best album compared to some of his previous releases. Then again though Tupac did not personally pick the tracks for this album as they were plucked from his archive of songs he wrote. Okay being fair though there are good tracks on the album from the crusin' guitar work on 'Good Life' to the sentimental tracks such as 'Happy Home' and 'Letter to my unborn'. Also 'Until the end of time' the track which is being released next is definately a hot track! K-Ci & JoJo are also up to their usual stuff on the track 'Thug N U Thug N Me' which is a killer tune. Overall, a good album but not Tupacs best.

I had heard this album before and I must say I think its brilliant but I think it comes a close second to 'All eyez on me', the best songs for me are 'Ballad of a dead soulja', 'When Thugz Cry','Letter to my unborn', 'Until the end of time','The good life', I think this album only has a couple of weak tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Da bomb... but could've been better!, 26 Mar 2001

This review is from: Until The End Of Time (Audio CD)
Makaveli lives on, & will do 4eva! I will never have a bad word 4 Pac or his work. The only negative points about this release that I have is the tampering with tracks. The only occasions when I agree with this is if Pac himself rushed the track and was not happy with the production, other wise it should be left! Afeni (or whoeva) has (in my opinion) no matter how well intentioned she thought it was, has disrespected her son, by doin' thangs such as editing out (by ending tracks early) Pac's personal disses 2 L.L on 'My Lil' Homies' & 2 Nas on 'When thugs Cry'! Also Pac's chorus 2 'All Out' (an obvious War Song)has been removed ('Us, the 1st 2 bust, who do U trust? Out 4 mobb Deep & Jay Z dead n the dust') The only things left untouched on many of the tracks R (obviously)Pac's parts. It could B argued that the changes were needed 2 give the release a more up-to-date feel, but I do not agree, especially as many of the changes deteriorate the track! In my opinion the only reason 4 the vast amount of changes is because alot of the material (all from '96) has previously been bootlegged so Afeni/Suge are jus' tryin' 2 make sure that sales are high by givin' all of the non-tru Pac fans a reason 2 buy the CD when they might already have much of the material. & dont even get me started on the additions of new artists (who Pac didn't even know) 2 complete songs. Anywayz, a must-buy 4 any tru Pac fan! A lot a very, very tight cuts up on there! Still very relevant 2 2days society! Thug In Peace 2 the realest N.I.G.G.A who eva lived, & also 2 Yak!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tupac at his best!, 2 Mar 2002

This album should be part of all tupac fans collections.
I purchased this album mainly because of the songs 'LETTER TO MY UNBORN', UNTILL THE END OF TIME and 'ALL OUT'.
After to listening to these songs countless times, i discovered other songs.
I found 'BALLAD OF A DEAD SOULJA' and 'THUG N U THUG N ME' featuring KCI AND JOJO among other top knotch songs.I think all of the songs are good, some superb, some a tad on the less quality side, but id deffiantly reccomend this album to everyone, especially 2pac Fans.
Guest aperances include:
OUTLAWZ (tupacs backing group), SKG (now with THA ROW RECORDS), lil mo, R.L. (from the band NEXT), LEFT EYE aka NINA from THA ROW records, above the law and J. VALENTINE (another ROW artist). All these rappers are superb and just add to the superb layout too 'UNTILL THE END OF TIME'.
I think to get the real feeling of this album you need to listen to the all the songs and read the BOOKLET thats comes with the CD.It gives an important family message and a fair bit of infomation to do with PAC and also a DISCOGRAPHY timeline etc.
I think this album tells of how tupac thought and acted in a superb way.
I really think this album should be bought by everyone who has ever heard of tupac.
Produced by SUGE KNIGHT and tupacs mom AFENI SHAKUR.
Buy this album asap!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant, 19 Mar 2002

This review is from: Until The End Of Time (Audio CD)
Until The End Of Time explodes into action with the hard-hitting 'Ballad Of A Dead Soulja', the first track on disc 1. 'Letter To My Unborn', 'Breathin', 'Happy Home' and 'All Out' follow on this disc, and I would rate them all as absolute Tupac classics. The first disc also contians other great songs (though not as good as the others mentioned) like 'Thug N U Thug N Me', 'M.O.B.', 'World Wide Mob Figgaz' and the album title track 'Until The End Of Time'.
The 2nd disc provides us with another version of 'Until' and the original 'Thug N U Thug N Me', as well as other remixes, but the best songs on this dics, and, probobly on the whole album are; 'When Thugz Cry', 'Lastonesleft' and the 'Pac produced piece of brilliance 'Why U Turn On Me'.
Most of the production on this album is done by Jonhnny 'J', and is water-tight.
Overall, a fantastic album, with many great songs on it. Tupac's second best, behind 'All Eyez On Me'. A must for any fan on 'Pac, or of just hip hop. Class
