4.0 out of 5 stars "I've always......done things on my own!"
I have to say I really enjoyed this film! ok the storyline is not the greatest but if you like Jim kelly then you should get this! Jim kelly has some good moves and the fight scenes are generally pretty good and the dubbing is bloody hilarious! Tan tao liang's voice is brilliant and there is some classic quotes in there from him! but as far as kicks are concerned then you...

2.0 out of 5 stars Jim Kelly is Bad (as ever). not as good as original.
Jim Kelly is back in his second advenuture as Black Belt Jones. Whilst Kelly is bad as ever on screen the poor story line and directing really does'nt do him any justice at all. No Pinky, & No Bogarts- none of the original cast were kept except for Kelly. It would have been great if it was set in the States again but this time it is set in Japan. Kelly has to deal...

Tan tao liang's voice is brilliant and there is some classic quotes in there from him! but as far as kicks are concerned then you dont get much better than Tan tao liang and he demonstrates this throughout this film! At the end of the day you cant take this film too seriously its just good for a laugh! considerin it was made in 1978 its pretty good if you like martial arts films and you like Jim kelly then its well worth giving this one a go! Brilliant!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheesy old fun!, 6 July 2011
This review is from: Black Belt Jones 2 [1978] [DVD] (DVD)
I give this film a four because it's just so much fun to watch. The acting is truly diabolical but Jim Kelly is just the coolest martial artist to ever hit the screen.

The dubbing, editing and plot are really bad and the story at points doesn't even make sense. "Well then, how could you think it's worth four precious stars?" I hear you ask. It worth four because it's really, really funny, full stop.

For instance, there is a scene where where the evil boss rips off a womans (who happens to be about three mens girlfriend!?) dress. The camera then zooms in to a closeup of her breasts and then the boss' face and then the breasts and then the eyes, the breasts, the eyes and then he throws her to the bed and gets it on and then we see... a formula 1 racecar...

If you like martial arts flicks then get this film have a couple of glasses of your favourite booze and settle down with this movie. It's like a spoof of martial arts movies of the time and some of Jim Kelly's moves are pretty good.

It's actually way before it's time. Pure comedy gold.

No Pinky, & No Bogarts- none of the original cast were kept except for Kelly. It would have been great if it was set in the States again but this time it is set in Japan. Kelly has to deal with diamond thieves and defeat the bad guys. Cool moves from Kelly- but hes not in the movie enough. Cheesey, Fun and Jim Kelly. Nothing compared to the original, you may be dissapointed. However true die hard fans may enjoy Black Belt fighting back to the big Screen.
