5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best WWF PPVs of 2000!
Even at the beginning of 2000, I was ver excited about this event. ALL of the years previous events were great- Cactus Jack and Triple H had an awesome Street Fight at the Royal Rumble, at No Way Out they tangled up again inside a Hell in a Cell, while Big Show fought Rock. At WrestleMania 16, Triple H, Cactus Jack, Rock and Big Show had an awesome 4-way for the title. At...

3.0 out of 5 stars MUST BUY - HISTORY IS MADE!!!!
This video must simply be bought!!!
Remember, at this time, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerro had not even been in the WWF for a year - catch them whilst they were still mid-carders!!!... For raw entertainment, Summerslam 2000 and Wrestlemania 2000 are probably better, probably because of the TLC matches. But King of THe Ring is always a must...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best WWF PPVs of 2000!, 6 July 2002
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Even at the beginning of 2000, I was ver excited about this event. ALL of the years previous events were great- Cactus Jack and Triple H had an awesome Street Fight at the Royal Rumble, at No Way Out they tangled up again inside a Hell in a Cell, while Big Show fought Rock. At WrestleMania 16, Triple H, Cactus Jack, Rock and Big Show had an awesome 4-way for the title. At Backlash, Triple H had a fantastic one with Rock, and Steve Austine made an appearance, and finally, at Judgement Day, Undertaker interfered with the Rock/Triple H Iron Man match with Shawn Michaels as the referee. This card is definately a "supercard" as it features a 6-man tag main event for the WWF Championship with Triple H, Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon on one team and Kane, Undertaker and Rock on the other. The Dumpster Table match between D Generation-X (X-Pac, Road Dogg and Tori) and the Dudley Boys is easily the best match on the card. The King of the Ring tournement is fantastic, and in the quarter finals, Bull Buchanan, Eddie Guerrero, Crash, Rikishi, Vel Venis, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit all compete. The Tag match between T&A, Edge and Christian, Too Cool and the Hardy Boyz is no so good, and the Evening Gown match for the Hardcore title between Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson SUCKS! Get this event now- you will not regret it. I watch it all of the time. It is a true classic, and comes along with SummerSlam and Royal Rumble as one of the best 2000 PPVs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy It!!!!, 11 Feb 2001

This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
You have to buy this video. It's one of the best WWF PPVs of 2000. The King of the Ring tournament features Bull Buchanan, Crash, Rikishi, Benoit, Jericho, Eddy Guerrero, Val Venis and Kurt Angle. There are other matches which are really cool including Raod Dogg/X-Pac/Tori v Dudleyz in a Table Dumpster Match and the six man tag main event featuring Vince/Shane/HHH v Rock/Undertaker/Kane for the WWF Title. There are only two bad matches and they are Pat Patterson v Gerry Brico and the four way tag team match. Overall 5/5.

5.0 out of 5 stars A night to remember!!!1, 5 Feb 2005
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I think this was one of the best ppv's of 2000 along with backlash and of course wrestlemania 16!!!
What a great night the king of the ring tournement had some hugh names in the final 8 including rikishi, kurt angle, chris jericho and chris benoit!!!Admitately the person i wanted to win didn't but it was still a great effort by all involved!!!!
There was a exciting tables/dumpster match involving DX (Road Dogg and X-pac) going against the dudleys. There was also a evening gown match for the hardcore title which i'd rather forget!!!(thankfully crash holly stoped!!!R.I.P.)aswell as a tag team championship match.
And now we come to the main event...a six man tag for the wwf championship..hhh (champion),vince mcmahon and shane mcmahon going against the rock, kane and the undertaker!!!This was where the mcmahon-helmsley regime basicly fell apart and there was a great amount of tension between both teams to start with. The start of the end was after the undertaker delivered a devistating chokeslam from the outside of the ring ropes from the second rope through the announcers table to shane which basicly elimanated him from the match and with the undertaker down from the choleslam and kane taking care of hhh on the outside all that was left in the ring was vince and the rock and i'll leve it to you to see how it all ends but i can guarantee you its with contreversy and an unusall result!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Should have been so much better, 6 Oct 2003
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
With great wrestlers like Kurt Angle, Eddy Guerrero and Chris Benoit in this King Of The Ring tournament, combined with the fact that the WWF in 2000 was having it's best ever year in the ring, you'd think that this PPV would be the greatest King of the Ring event of all time.
Instead, it's one of the most disapointing.
Untalented wrestlers such as Rikishi and Bull Buchanan (remember him? Thought not) advance over talents like Guerrero and Jericho, and the tournament is a huge letdown as a result. Elsewhere, matches like the Evening Gown match between the stooges Brisco and Patterson are amongst the worst things that the WWF/E has ever done.
Avoid this video like the plague. Instead buy any other event from 2000, such as Summerslam, Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Backlash or Fully Loaded.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst WWF Pay Per View this year, 24 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This was a rubbish pay per view. The main event was crap and the exception of the table dumpster match so were all the other matches. What made it really bad was seeing that twerp Kurt Angle celebrating with that rediculous crown.Dont buy this and buy a decent ppv like Fully Loaded or Summerslam.

4.0 out of 5 stars action-packed main event, 22 Oct 2000
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
What a main event! a tournament which goes right to the end, a classic table dumpster match, a six-man tag with the boss (and some intresting stipulations) and loads more class action. I don't think i can look at patterson and briscoe again after their very hardcore match!

2.0 out of 5 stars A tremendously disappointing show, 20 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: King Of The Ring 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Having built up the reputation of putting on fantastic PPVs every month in 2000, the WWF blew it with this awful show.
A bad tournament, a totally unfunny gimmick hardcore match and a stale main event that served to prove how boring the Triple-H/Rock feud got by that point make this one to miss.
